Chapter 2.5~ Hurt

"Ahh." He said as the liquid seeped into the gash.

Once I finished cleaning the cuts that painted his body I stood up to go grab my bag.

I took the bag and brought it over.
Lucky for me I had taken some medical supplies just in case. I opened the med-kit and took out some butterfly strips. I unwrapped them and applied them to the deeper cuts before I the bandages out and started to wrap his torso and neck.

Once everything was bandaged I put his shirt back on before looking at the shackle. Digging through the bag, I contemplated what I could do to prevent this from happening again.

'Yes!' I thought as I pulled out an ACE bandage before turning my attention to the injured ankle. I started to line it in cotton and then wrapping the ace bandage around it.
I looked at to the shackle, that confined my friend to this small room, and layered some cotton on the inside of the shackle, so once Saeran took the bandage off it wouldn't hurt so much.

"Can you stand?" I asked. He nodded and tried to stand up. Instead of standing he stumbled. I caught him before he got too close to the floor. "Here." I said as I helped him to the bed.

I lifted the sheets from the bed and sat him down. "You need sleep." I said.

"No, I'm okay." He said as he tried to stand up.

"No." I said as I glared into his eyes. "You're going to bed."

"But."

"No buts. Bed, now." I said.

"She'll get mad if she seems me sleeping."

"She won't, I'll make sure." He sighed and lied down. I tucked him in and stood up. "I'll see you tomorrow." I said as I started to walk away.

"Wait!" he said as he reached out and grabbed by hand. My face turned slightly pink. "Don't go, please." I looked at the doorway.

'What if she comes back? Saeran will be punished if she sees me here.' I thought. I looked back at my friend.

"Please." I sighed and sat down at the edge of the bed.

"Fine, but try to go to bed." I said. He nodded.

After a few minutes of waiting he was still not asleep.

"Can't fall asleep?" I asked. He shook his head.

'My mom used to sing to me to help me fall asleep, maybe it will work on Saeran.' I opened my mouth. 'Worth a shot.'

Once I finished singing I looked at my one and only friend. His eyes were shut and a light snore was coming from him. Smiling, I stood up, grabbed the bag, and slid it underneath the bed, which is where Saeran stored most of the supplies I gave him.

I tried to clean the pool of blood up to the best of my ability.
As I was about to leave I looked back and walked over to Saeran. I patted his hair that was turning white and smiled as I looked down at him. I was so happy to have a friend, words would not justify how happy I was.
I stood up and walked to the doorway.
"I'll see you tomorrow... Saeran."
