Little Girl
Little girl
far too youngfor bitter words
to be hurled at her
from an evil toungea father too drunk
to realizethat he couldn't hide the pain
that lived
in his eyeslittle girl
who lost her youthwas made
to grew up too fast,
that's the sad truthlittle girl
once so brightnow cries herself
to sleep
at nightlittle girl
power throughdon't make
your father's past
come true for youhe had turned
to drinks and pillsbut you
are so much more
than cheap thrillslittle girl
be proud of what you can doand in the end
your light will once again
shine through---------------------------------------------------------
