Capitolo Trentasei

After the New Year's classes began once more. Today is the last day of the first month of the year and I am busy signing papers in my office. I think I haven't got any proper sleep for the last few days. I'm also currently preparing for the election of the next batch of student council. We will be the one to organize it and manage it as well. I think we are planning to have the election after the ball so that we can give some overview to the newly elected people for us, the graduating student council, can leave the department at ease

I was about to sign the 50th paper for today when my phone suddenly rang. I immediately answered the call without reading the name of the caller while signing the paper. Multi tasking at its finest

"Amelia speaking" I said

I heard a small chuckle which made me stop working and a smile plastered on my face

"Stilll working very hard huh?" I heard him said

"Obviously, I've got extra work because we're going to graduate soon" I answered

Silence engulf us for a minute or two and I heard him sighed. What's wrong?

"What's wrong? Are you alright Drew?"

"I-I'm fine Lia" he answered 

My brows creased, he's acting strange

"Why did you call by the way?" I asked

"It's nothing, I just want to hear your voice" he explained

I sighed, we haven't seen each other since the New Year's. He told me that he is taking care of something important and this is the first time that we've had this proper conversation since we only had a 'hi' 'hello' and 'bye' but his voice seems troubled and uneasy, I hope he's okay

"I missed you" I honestly blurted out. I waited for his reply but I heard a deep voice on the other line, probably a butler?

"Mhmm, I'm sorry I got to go" he said and dropped the call

I sighed, "Yes alright, take care" I whispered and placed my phone on to my table once again. I guess he's really busy

I did not think much about it and instead, I went back to work. I still have tons of things to do

A day

Just one more day until we held our  grand ball. We already took our finals and I passed it with flying colors. I also finished all the paper works that I needed for me to graduate. We have been busy for the past few months and we are now having our finishing touches

Although, I have one problem

I heard that Drew was back a week ago and he's been MIA for a month. After that proper conversation with him, I never heard of him after that. I can't reach his phone, I cannot even find him at the facility and his classes. His home seems pretty quiet so why hasn't he contacted me?

Don't get me wrong, I am that kind of girl that is obsessive and overly attached because that is not how proper ladies act. I am just worried and kind of sulking

I mean, who wouldn't?

I sighed once again

"That's the nth time you sighed" Hera said while we're watching the workers add the new carpets on the floor

I gave her a small smile, "I don't know and please don't mind me"

She gave me a disapproving look, "Don't mind me?No way. It's about your prince charming isn't it?"
