As soon as we go home I ran to my room, I changed into a tank white tank top and some black shorts. I sat at my desk and took out some of my drawing things, I was starting a new project for my art class, we had to pick an ancient animal like a dinosaur and draw it. which I was almost done with, I just needed to finish the rest of its body. At around 5 my mom called for me to come eat diner, so I put my shading pencils back in their case, and went down stairs. My mom was such a good cook, she made meatloaf, which is my all-time favorite, Kim had come down a couple minutes after me and took her seat across from me at the table. "Hey mom? Dad?" I asked, both my parents gave me their attention. "Do you mind if I go hangout with a friend tonight, I know it's a school night, but I've finished all my homework?" I asked them, my mom and dad looked at each other, "sure honey" my mom told me. "Thank you!" I shouted, I stood up and washed my dishes and put them in the dishwasher. "One more thing honey" my dad said, I turned away from the sink and looked at him, "can you please take your sister with you, I know she's been wanting to get out of the house" my dad said. "But I thought she was grounded" I said, Kim shot me a glare, my mom then spoke up, "Kimberly can leave the house, but only if she goes with you" she said.
"Ugh! Whatever, I'm leaving in 20 minutes Kim, with or without you" I said, then I left the kitchen and ran back upstairs to change into hiking gear.
