Conor

A door slam woke him up, but he kept his eyes shut, trying to savor the warmth of the car. For days, he and Cass had been in and out of alleys, cold and lonely. She had wanted to break into one of the diners or kill someone and then take their house. He shivered just thinking about the way Cass had looked at him after he protested all her ideas. Her eyes pitch black and her mouth covered with blood.

A knock on the window made him jump in his seat. There was the girl...woman? She looked young but she was a vampire and was probably much older than she let on. He once again took in her appearance, her dark blonde wavy hair and her blue eyes with deep brown speckles in them. She opened the door for him, and he saw two people behind her, another young woman and a guy.

Gulping, he stepped out and noticed that it was pitch black outside. They were at a large house in the middle of nowhere, miles around them. The young woman waiting cocked her head at him, his eyes going straight to her vivid red hair. She raised an eyebrow before opening her mouth. The guy next to her slapped a hand over her mouth, frowning at her before turning to him.

"You must be Conor, name's Wren and this here big mouth is Ivy," At this, the woman narrowed her eyes at Conor and made a move to step forward, smacking Wren's hand off her mouth. Conor noticed the guy had an accent that sounded familiar but he couldn't place it. He tried not to stare but the guy was gorgeous, with tousled blonde hair and sparkling green eyes.

"Ah, who's this newbie?" A voice came from the porch and Conor was taken aback by the sight of a shirtless guy. He probably blinked about five times. Ivy slung her arm around Conor's shoulder.

"Gale, for once can you put a shirt on? You're freaking the new kid out," Ivy said as she began to pet Conor's hair. Gale rolled his eyes, but he only seemed to be focused on Conor.

"How long did you drive, Parker?" Wren asked, looking at the woman who had brought him here. Ah, so that was her name.

"About 30 minutes, there's a bit of sitch between Conor's sister and S.H.I.E.L.D. but I've got it under control. We may have a ripper problem but we'll see," Parker said, as she opened the car trunk and took out a shirt.

"Hey Gale, look what I got you!" Parker yelled excitedly, waving the shirt in her hand. Gale laughed before walking down the steps and over to Parker, grabbing her up in a big hug. Conor felt Ivy pull him away, and he was forced to walk into the house.

It wasn't that bad, big but not old. The floors were a dark wood and everything was modern. There were steps leading upstairs and a giant mahogany dining table with a chandelier above it.

"Welcome Conor, to Oz." Ivy snorted when he shot her a confused look. "It's a joke around here, Parker's like a great wizard who brings all of us together to be safe from the evil witches. That's why she calls us her 'Munchkins'." Conor nodded, smiling at the thought. Parker, Gale and Wren walked through the door and Parker motioned for him to follow her. They went into the living room and Parker sat down, patting the spot next to her.

Conor sat down, his legs shaking from nervousness. Parker smiled and it comforted him for a second. There was silence between them and he really didn't want to break it.

"I know you're probably really confused or scared but I promise you I'm looking out for you. There is a whole other world Conor, full of vampires and werewolves and witches. You are now a part of that world, do you understand that?" Conor nodded hesitantly, his voice caught in his throat.
