Sorry for such a long wait. I've been SUPER busy and had little time to squeeze this chapter in. I rewrote it at least 5 times and the first one I wrote was longer but I chose a cliffhanger instead :P I have half of the next ch already done so it might be up on Saturday night if all goes as planned.

I didn't get as many votes on last time :/ hope I can make up for it with this and the next ch.

This ch is dedicated to another fan. Love you all! <3

Reminder!!!! This ch is not edited!!!

The next day was even harder than yesterday. All William wanted to do was have his lips on mine. I would lie and make up and excuse to why we couldn’t just like I had done last night when he wanted to make love.

I’m beginning to think William is becoming suspicious of how fragile I have become and it won’t be long before he stops caring and does what he so badly wants to do to me.

So this morning as I was eating my bacon breakfast in William’s bed, I came up with a brilliant plan. The only problem was I didn’t know when would be the best time to put it into action.

On a random side note, I found out that Gloria was the name of the nurse. She knocked on my door roughly an hour ago and now we were simply chatting.

“I’ve been working here for quite a while now. I recently turned 43 so that would make it…” she paused to add everything up in her head.

“13 years.” She blurted the answer out randomly and then finished her initial thought.

“I didn’t start working here until I was 30. I had begun working as a maid when I was just 16. Of course it was at another castle far from here. I worked there until I was 20 and then I was transferred to another palace, where I worked for 2 short years.”

“Why only two years?” Maids typically worked at a certain castle for 5 years the least but even cases like that were rare, let alone 2 years.

“Well, I was a young woman and got myself tangled up with the Prince. He was a handsome fellow, and I wasn’t the only one that admired him. We fell in love and that love blossomed.”

Her words made me think about Riley and me. If it worked out for Gloria, surely it could work out for us. I perked up and scooted to the edge of the bed.

“But it only lasted a short time.” She added.

My spirits and my interest fell faster than the stock market. The more she talked about her past, the more I wanted to interrupt and ask her to stop.

Her and the Prince got into a fight and broke up. Then the King found out and the instantly deported her to this kingdom where she has lived ever since, heartbroken and uninterested in any men.

Her words spoke right to my soul and I felt awful. Would I be like her when I was her age? Am I staring my fate right in the face? Would I be at some castle far away from Riley taking care of a an almost raped girl that got beaten up in an alleyway at night because she was too stupid to realize a stranger was hitting on her and wasn’t smart enough to tell him goodbye and leave?

I couldn’t bear to imagine, even for a second, me and Riley split up.

As I listened I came up with a brilliant idea that tied right in with my plan to get back to Riley.

“I am going to ask William if I can go to the next ball with him. I’ll ask if you can tag along. It’s a ball, so your Prince has to attend.”

Her whole face flushed out and turned pale.

‘Are you sure?” she whispered unnecessarily.

I laughed at her reaction.
