Holy cow guys!! This book is becoming a huge hit and words can't begin to describe how I'm feeling. I absolutely love reading the comments and seeing that you guys love it. I still have to go back and edit the previous chapters, I'm kind of dreading it but it is necessary. I'm sorry for not updated on schedule, last week was filled with holidays and Friday night I was at a party. Hopefully none of you have died from suspense yet... Enjoy :)

"Kaitlynn!?" Riley shouted as he burst through the door like a furious bull poised and ready for action.

I leapt towards the bathroom, praying I would make it in time to lock the door behind me. My body passed the threshold and a sense of relief washed over me until a hand locked onto my wrist. I tried to continue my momentum to get further away but Riley was too strong. I watched myself get pulled from the safety of the bathroom as I was dragged towards him.  He spun me around and yanked me flat into his chest. I gasped upon seeing him so close to me.

His blue eyes glistened through the morning sunshine pouring in from the window. Dust particles floated freely around us, suspended in the air, as time froze.  Dark bags had grown beneath his diamond colored jewels. As I looked over his distraught face, despair began to flood over myself as well. He stood there staring back at me and I searched his face for warning signs of what was about to come.

His hand instantly latched on the back of my neck and used gentle force to usher my head closer to his. Our noses brushed against one another. I watched as he closed his eyes and savored the moment. His soft breathing sent shivers down my spine as I fought to maintain my control of the situation. My mind screamed at me to fight back and shove him away, yet my body failed to follow directions. Slowly he closed the gap between our lips. My eyes closed, giving my other senses total control.

I could smell his musky clone in the air around us. The intoxicating scent filled my nose and caused my heart to flutter off sync. His fingers tightened as his hand fit around my neck like a perfect fitting puzzle piece. My own hand inched from my side to rest upon his cheek. Tiny hairs tickled against my palm as a stubble had begun to peek through.

His silky lips crashed delicately against mine like ocean waves hitting shore. Our lips molded together as my mind drifted into deadly paradise. His lips took over, parting mine. I gasped slightly, inhaling more of him. He continued to press on, taking full advantage of the moment. But like all moments, it came to a close.

He pulled away from me and the cold atmosphere made my lips tingle from the sudden withdrawal of warmth. I opened my eyes to find him searched my face expectantly. A sparkle flashed from the corner of left eye as a tear began to roll down. His thumb brushed my cheek as a similar cold stream was wiped away from my face.

A creak came from the side and I looked to see Chris standing at the doorway watching with wide owl eyes. Memories from the previous nights flashed through my mind like powerful lightening strikes. As my sight shifted back to Riley, he acknowledged my attention switch with a quick glance at Chris. However, before he could make another move to paralyze me and my emotions, my body decided to listen to previous instructions.

I removed my hand from his cheek momentarily before it came back, harder, faster, and with more force. All my energy flowed into my arm as I slapped him across the face. His face snapped abruptly to the side with the motion. I stood before him filled with satisfaction and pride as he stumbled a step backwards in shock. The hand that had been placed on my neck was now placed against his cheek where I had struck my target.

"Get out." I demanded as he looked at a new woman. I wasn't going to allow myself to give into his lying charm any more. I wasn't the naïve maid he used to know.

"So that's how you want to play it." He muttered intriguingly as he rubbed his sore jaw.

Confused by his interest in my attack, I looked to Chris for some explanation,  who reached out to me in a warning attempt. Arms wrapped around my lower half as I was lifted into the air and tossed over Riley's shoulder.

"Put me down!" I yelled as I begun kicking and pounding my fists against his back.

Riley reached into his other pocket and grabbed something out. I couldn't get a glimpse of it and became further irritated. I struggled and squirmed more to get loose but Riley had no intentions of letting me escape.

"I'm taking her with me." Riley spoke to Chris as he pointed towards him.

I turned my head to see why Chris hadn't charged Riley and assisted me in getting free. Chris stood closer to where I had last seen him. He was stiff like a statue and his face was drained of blood, leaving it a sickly, pale white. His hands slowly raised in the air as he stepped aside from the doorway. Riley flicked his wrist to the corner and a flash of light came from his hand. The metal was silver and I quickly put two and two together.

Once Chris kneeled in the corner with both hands behind his head, Riley proceeding to leave the castle with me as his prize.

"Do not follow us. Or I will shoot you." Riley threatened as he walked out the door and we disappeared around the corner.
