After getting what seemed like tens and hundreds of votes I could only dedicate this ch to one person, even though I wish I could dedicate it everyone. To all of you new fans welcome to the family! ^_^

WARNING: This ch is very...interesting? I don't really know how to put it except that buckle up buttercups and hang on for the ride!

I felt the sun shine down on my skin. I had a burning feeling everywhere my skin was exposed. All the other nonburnt parts were either dry, or drenched in sweat.

The sand was burning through the horse blanket and my back felt like it was on fire. The bright yellow sun combined with the bright yellow sun was almost visible through my eyelids. The rays of the sun felt like they were only inches away from me and I was being burnt alive. I tried to tolerate the pain but I didn’t last long. I opened my eyes and made the mistake of not turning away from the bright light first. I squinted and little by little opened them until they were fully open and adapted to the light.

Riley was somehow was still asleep. Apollo and Stella had retreated back into some shade of a nearby tiny tree. The poor things were probably thirsty and they were being mocked by the gallons of water flowing in front of them, but not a single drop is drinkable.

“Riley, you need to get up.” I shook his arm and he only snored.

I looked up at the sky. Judging by where the sun was, I’m guessing it was probably about noon. People had to be looking for us, more him than me.

“Riley.” I shook him again.

His nose twitched and then he started snoring again.

“Riley.” He needed to get up before someone found us.

“Angela.” He mumbled. It was a woman’s name. But it was unknown to me.

I moved my hand away from him like touching him would give me a deadly disease. I was shocked, stunned, maybe even paralyzed.

“Angela.” He muttered her name again. I started to have my doubts.

Who was she and why hasn’t Riley told me about her?

I listened intently for him to say more, particularly something about this girl besides her name. But of course I had the worst luck in the world and when I needed answers the most I couldn’t get them.

“Kaitlynn?” He rubbed his eyes and sat up.

“What time is it?” he asked drowsily

“I’m guessing noon.” I said nonchalantly.

“Shit!” he cursed. He got up and ran to his clothes that he spread out on the sand to dry. He put them all and grabbed Apollo by the halter and rushed him over to the blanket. Something told me I would have to saddle my own horse this time. I mimicked Riley and spread the blanket onto the back of the horse. Then the saddle on top. I put my foot in the stirrup and with all my strength hoisted myself up, all on my own. Riley pulled up next to me.

“What are we going to do? We can’t show up together and you can’t come in with a horse of the royal family.”

He had to go and he had to go now. Maybe I could get away with one day off of work.

“Here, stay right here. I’ll be right back.” Riley and Apollo galloped towards the castle while Stella and I watched warily.

It took him one hour but he came back with a new outfit and clean hair. He stopped next to us.

“Here.” He handed me a phone. “My phone number is already in there.” Then he pulled out a bundle of money. “By some new clothes to help you fit in for the day. I’ll stake Stella back with me and say she must have run away. Text me later tonight and I will pick you up and take you back.”
