Beauty.
A simple yet powerful word
That crashes your whole world.
You let it change your way of living.
A goal you work so hard to achieve.
Beauty.
Isn't God the one who made it?
Does He not know what it means?
Why don't you listen to what He's saying?
He does not lie when He says you're pretty.
Beauty.
It never means you need to be too thin
And those who aren't should be told ugly.
He made us in His image, fearfully and wonderfully.
So if you don't look good, what does that make Him?
Beauty.
It's not based on how expertly you did your hair
Or how much make up is embracing your face.
It's not defined by how you can walk with four-inch heels
Or how expensive you've bought that little, fitted fabric.
Beauty.
It won't starve you till your tummy screams for help.
It won't say you're fat when you gained just a li'l weight.
It won't say you aren't cool if you can't dare to swear.
It won't stress you, you're in God's precious care.
Beauty?
In it's truest and perfect form, I've got to say,
Is a humble heart that, to God, prays and obeys.
It's so hidden from one's destroying stare.
To this world, it's so far beyond compare.
