To the one that got away
Now, I can say that I'm happy. After crying myself to sleep wishing that you were the one beside me, I can finally say that I have moved on.
I won't deny the fact that we could've been something— far greater beyond imagination. You were and could have been my everything but that all ended in a flash when you treated me as if I'm nothing.
You still make my heart beat rapidly and send butterflies in my belly. You never failed in making me feel the things that made me happy. Remembering how much I loved you every time we talk and thinking all the what ifs and what could happen if only you decided to give back the love I showered you. I loved you and I'm proud to say that. You make me feel so nostalgic to every tiny bit of happiness you made me feel while loving you.
I guess this is good bye. Good bye to all the memories you have given me in a short period of time. Good bye to this feeling of love that made me smile and cry at the same time. Good to you, the person I have loved the most. Good bye to you, to the one that got away.
