This is how pregnant May looks. K

Bradley

I jogged down the stairs as I heard May and my mother talking. May was carefree sounding, but my mothers voice contained an edge.

"...he's very sweet." May laughed and my mum chuckled tightly.

"Hello..." I mumbled and walked into the kitchen, my eyes landing on May then reluctantly landing on Tristan as he stuffed his face with cereal.

"May was just telling me all about your recent life." My mothers eyes flicked to mine then back to May. "Mrs Williams and your art work...your relationship." She said the last word slowly. I gulped.

"Yeah! I was telling her all about how supportive you are of my dream and the house and everything." May clarified for me.

"Cool." I cleared my throat. "May, baby, can I talk to you?"

"Mhmm." She answered and I hummed so she could follow my voice to where I was. Once her hand was in reach, I grabbed it.

"We'll be right back." I smiled at my mother and pulled May away to our bedroom upstairs.

I shut the door.

"We need to tell her." May said immediately.

"What? How, May?!" I tugged my my hair.

"I don't know, Bradley. We need to try and find a way. She deserves to know." May defended and put her hand softly over the slightly visible small bump growing. "She's going to be a grandmother and I believe she has the right to know that information."

I placed my hands onto her stomach. "I know she deserves to know, I'm just worried for her reaction." I got down on my knees and kissed May's stomach once before standing back up and kissing her forehead. I rested mine against hers and she closed her eyes. "We should tell her during dinner."

"Okay." May nodded in agreement. I nudged my lips onto hers and kissed her quickly before pulling her out the door.

"...and she didn't even guess at all." Tristan laughed at a story about his ex girlfriend, who didn't have a brain it seems.

"Who doesn't know how to spell Texas?" May shook her head and took a bite of pizza.

"Silvia." Tristan answered with an eye roll.

Everyone was engaging in conversation as I tapped my foot in anxiety, my eyes darting everywhere.

May cleared her throats and put her hand on my thigh, signaling it was time. I took a deep breath and intertwined our fingers.

"Guys, Bradley and I would like to announce something."

"May's pregnant." I blurted and everything was silent. All chewing stopped, all breathing stopped and even Taurus stopped eating.

"How far along..." my mother whispered, her face unreadable.

"Almost three months." May answered.

"Do you know the gender?"

"Not yet. But May thinks it'll be a girl. I think a boy. They're growing quickly which means that we can see the gender as soon as time to month."

"Well..." I was bracing for impact. "I'm going to be a grandmother." My eyes snapped up to my mother, who was smiling.

"Uh-I'm-Um-what?" I stuttered.

"I never thought I would have grandkids! Never mind you even being able to have sex to create-"

"Mum!" My cheeks fumed red at her crude language.

"Sorry, sorry! I'm just-wow!" She gushed and stood up. She walked over to May and lightly grabbed her hand. "I have so much to tell you." She grinned and pulled May up into the living room.

I looked back at Tristan and James, who stared at me.

"A baby?" Tristan raised his eyebrows.

"Yup. A baby." I sighed leaning back into my chair.

"Was it planned?" James asked.

"Yup. She wants, I give." I shrugged.

"Aren't you gonna marry her first, mate?"

"We've talked about it, but we're waiting for marriage. We want to just live now since marriage is just a piece of paper." I explained.

"Well, I'm happy for you guys. May's a real piece of work." Tristan admitted.

"True beauty." James added in and I smiled.

"She truly is."
