"This is a store?!" I said, very shocked.
"Yes. This is where we go each month." Cameron said.
... Wow...
... I love being rich!
"I'll text you when I'm done with the shopping." Cameron said, as we started to get out of the car.
"Okay." I said, while making sure my phone was turned on.
"And, (y/n)." Cameron said, while leaning into me.
"Yes?" I asked.
"Make sure to keep an eye on Lyle. He can be a bit... Unpredictable when it comes to shopping." Cameron said, in a warning tone.
"What do you mean by-"
"Come on, let's go, (y/n)!" Lyle said, before dragging me away from Cameron.
"Okay. Where to start?" I asked.
"That's easy. We're going to get a pet!" Lyle excitingly said.
"And, everyone's okay with that?" I asked.
"Eh, who cares what everyone thinks?"
"Uh..."
"Plus, it'll be a little surprise for everyone."
"If you say so. But, it'll be on your head."
"Perfectly fine with that."
Lyle then led me to the enormous pet store.
There were pets everywhere, of all different kinds. From land to sky to water animals. They had it all!
"So, (y/n), which one will be the lucky one?" Lyle asked me.
"I'm not sure. I can't decide what pet I want." I said, while inspecting each different type of animal.
"Well, what have you always wanted?"
"A pet that I can love on, play with, and, is intelligent." I explained.
"This might sound typical, but, what about a dog?" Lyle asked.
"Sure. But, I don't want a large dog. Don't want to get trampled on and such."
"Makes sense. Small it is then!"
Lyle and I then headed to the small dog section.
"Okay, so, what breed dog do you want?" The store worker asked.
"Hm... Not sure. What do you suggest?" I asked.
"I think that a shih-tzu would be nice. They're really small and cute, as well as playful."
"I see. Well, let's' see what shih-tzu's are available."
Lyle and I then walked to the shih-tzu section.
There were about ten puppies, with four mothers.
The puppies were indeed small... And extremely cute!
"Aw, they're so adorable!" I exclaimed.
"Well, which one do you want?" The Lyle asked.
"It's so hard to decide. Hm... What about you?" I said, while pointing at a gray puppy whose eyes hadn't left me since we had walked up to the shih-tzu area.
The store worked then walked up to us.
"Would you like to play with this little one in a play box?" The worker asked.
"Sure."
The worker then pulled out the grey puppy, and, carrier her (I believe it's a her) to another room.
Lyle and I followed the worker.
"Okay, here you go. Let us know if you'll be purchasing this little one." The worker said, before putting the puppy down, and, leaving.
"Okay, puppy, come here." I said, while patting my legs.
The puppy ran up to me.
"Seems like she likes you." Lyle said.
"Yeah."
As I looked around, I saw some dog toys.
Perfect!
I walked up to the dog toys, and, picked up a rubber ball.
The puppy followed me, wagging her tail the entire time.
"Okay... Go fetch!" I said, while throwing the ball.
The puppy ran to go get it. Then, she brought it back to me.
"That's it! I want her!" I exclaimed.
"I'll let the worker know." Lyle said, before leaving.
Now... what to call this little girl?
Maybe... Kyra?
Yeah, Kyra it is!
Lyle and the worker then came back.
"I'm so glad you found one you like. Once we get the papers finished with, she'll be yours." The worker explained.
"Wonderful."
"If you'll come with me, I can help start the process." The worker said, before leaving, without waiting for us.
We followed anyway.
I can't believe it...
... I'm going to have my very own puppy!
Now I realize that everyone may not like the name 'Kyra' for your new puppy. But that's what I'm going to use. Feel free to put in another name, if you want to, though I will not put that different name in the story.
