~Chapter Thirteen~

Ow... My head... It hurts...

I reached up, to grab my head. That's when I hear someone say my name.

"(y/n), I see that you're awake."

I opened my eyes, to see Hunter's green eyes staring right back at me.

"When did I fall asleep?"

"I found you unconscious, in the hallway. So, I brought you to the nurse's office."

I see. But, why did I faint...?

... Lily...

I can't believe she would use me like that. That little...

"(y/n), you seem upset. Something wrong?"

I can trust Hunter, right?

"Yes. But, can you promise to not tell anyone?"

"Of course, you have my word."

"You know Lily, right?"

"Yes."

"Well, turns out she was just using me, to get closer to Damien."

"I see."

"And, she's threatened me. She said that if I try to take Damien away, I'll pay."

"Don't worry, I'll make sure everything will work out."

"How do you know that?"

"I just do. Think of it like a sixth sense."

"Okay. What time is it?"

"Five minutes until school's over."

I was out for that long?!

"Okay. Well, I think I'm good to go."

"Okay."

Hunter then helped me out of the nurse's bed, despite me telling him that I was just fine.

We then left, and, went to our lockers. Hunter had told he that he needed to do something important, before he left school, so, after getting my things, I headed out, without Hunter.

Once outside, I realized that I needed a ride home. Sigh... If only I could drive...

"(y/n), how're you doing?"

I turned, to face Shinto.

"Oh, hi, Shinto."

"You weren't in class, after lunch. You okay?"

"Yeah. Just felt a bit sick."

"I see. Hope you get well soon."

"Thanks."

Shinto then started to look very nervous.

"Something wrong?"

"No. Not at all! It's just... Would you mind if I had your number? It's just... I don't really have any friends, and, I'd like to be able to talk to you more, and-"

"Sure." I said, before writing down my number, and, giving it to Shinto.

"Thanks."

"Sure. Anything for a friend."

"Yep... I'll make sure to text you later! Bye!"

Shinto then ran off.

I then saw Damien, about to leave, in his car.

"Damien! Wait!"

Luckily, Damien's window was down, so, he was able to hear me.

"Need something?"
