Against All Odds

Part 6

Bandana was very scared & was looking everywhere. Fr the first time she saw her room. It was huge. The walls were painted in white & rich blood red colour. There were so many photos hanging on wall of Rohit with his father & brother. She felt strange as there wasn't a single family photo.

There was a single photo of him On the wall behind the bed. She saw him coming out of the bathroom & became alert. He was coming towards her. She curled her fingers. But he went ahead near a little closet. He opened it & took out a bottle. Bandana's heart skipped fr a beat. He then took a glass & went on bed.

"Naam kya hai tumhara..? " He asked.

"Huh ? "  Bandana startled.

"Naam poocha maine tumhara. " He took a sip of his drink.

"Bandana.. " She answered.

"Sirf Bandana..? Tumhe kisine bataya nai ki naam kaise batate hai..? Shaadi ki na mujhse..? " He asked.

She nodded.

"Toh kya naam hai tumhara.. " He again asked.

"Bandana Rohit Mudgalkar.. " She answered.

He cocked his eyebrows.

"That's better.. " He finished his drink.

He poured more drink in his glass.

"Main tumhe ek baat clear kar doon.. Main iss shadi ke liye tayyar nai tha.. Par main apne baba ki baat kabhi nai talta.. Unhone kaha iss liye maine shadi ki tumse.. Main kisiko bhi apne life me naak nai ghusane nai deta.. Mujhe pasand nai ata.. So main jitni hadh me rakhu.. Utne me hi rahogi tum.. Aaj se.. Abhi se.. Tumhare jine ka wajood sirf main hoon.. Main jaisa kahunga waise hi tum rahogi.. Jo main kahunga waisa aur wahi tum karogi.. " Rohit said.

Bandana was listening everything with lowered lashes.

"Sanskari dikhati ho tum.. I hope mujhe gussa karne ka reason nai dogi.. Main bata deta hoon tumhe.. Main bahar jake kya karta hoon.. Kab jaunga.. Kab aaunga.. Isse tumhe koi lene dena nai hona chahiye.. Agar mujhe batana hoga.. Toh bata dunga.. " He said.

Bandana wanted to scream loudly. She looked towards him. Now he was fully drunk. His eyes became red.

"Idhar aao.. " He forwarded his hand.

She started shivering. He went ahead & grabbed her wrist & pulled her on bed. She landed on her back & he laid over her.

"Dar kyu rahi ho..? U must be happy.. Main tumhe apni biwi ka darja dena chahta hoon.. Bahot kam logoko nasib hota hai yeh itni jaldi.. " He caressed her hair.

She looked in his eyes which were closing as he was drunk. So many questions were in her mind. She failed to decide whether she want him or not. But he didn't gave her time to think....

"Haan.. Main jaungi Kal Kolhapur.. " Aarushi said.

"Matlab aapka programme waisa fix kar doon main..? " Her PA asked.

"Haan .. Kar dijiye.. " She said & went in her room.

She threw herself on bed & started thinking about next day.

"Do din Sumedh ke sath bitane padenge mujhe... Chii.. " She said.

"Uske ghar ke log bhi ajib hi lagte hai thode.. Jaise wo sabko happy family dikhate hai ... Waise nai hai wo. " She thought.

Her phone ranged. Sumedh was calling.
