Against All Odds

Prologue

"Hamare sanvidhan ne sabko saman haq diye hai.. Aur wo haq iss duniya ka koi bhi insan aapse nai chhin sakta.. Koi bhi nai.. " Aarushi roared in front of a big rally.

Nearly 3000 people were looking towards Aarushi who was confidantly addressing the rally.

"Aapke pas haq hai ki aap shiksha prapt kare.. Apna career banaye.. Khud ke pairo pe khadi rahe.. Aapke pas bhi haq hai ki aap sapne dekhe.. Koi bhi aapki in sapno ki iss udaan ko rok nai sakta.. Chhoti si umar me shaadi karake aapke pankh chhatne ka haq kisi ke paas nai.. " Aarushi said.

Everyone clapped & hooted. Mostly women were present there as it was a women welfare rally arranged by Party's Women's wing.

So many people from party were present at the stage. Mostly were office bearers of Women wing & state level officials of party.

Aarushi was the most effective & famous among all the office bearers of women wing. Everyone was expecting her to be the state president of wing. On same basis party arranged the whole Maharashtra state tour of Women wing. Aarushi led the tour which was named as 'Mahila yatra'.

Already their party was ill famed fr it's male chauvinist views & leaders. Some years ago it made no difference in their vote bank but , time changes..

Might be late but some national leaders understood the importance of Women wing. And then the women wing formed.

But still there was a big questions.. Many leaders were of Male chauvinist thinking and women from their houses were not at all ready to lead the wing plus they didn't had any influential lady leader.

That was the same year when Aarushi was born in Adhikari family. Her family was one of those families which were activists of party since it's formation. Her father Avadhoot Adhikari was state president of party at that time.

Now.. After 24 years Confidant & Enthusiastic Aarushi was looking like a bright future of party.

Aarushi Ended her speech. Everyone stood up & started clapping. Some women came on stage. They placed a tika on Aarushi's forehead & made her wear a garland. They gifted Aarushi a shawl & Saree. Aarushi accepted it & folded her hands in front of them.

She sat on her seat. On her right side she saw an old lady.. Aarushi's favourite person. Amruta Jadhav.. The State president of women's wing.

Aarushi smiled looking towards her.

"Bahot accha tha.. Main toh fan ho gyi tumhari.. " Nilima said.

Aarushi laughed.

"Kya aajji aap bhi.. " Aaru said.

"Waise sach me accha tha.. People are impressed.. " Someone said from her left side.

She turned around just to find Amit Mudgalkar sitting there. She smiled.

"Thank u.. " Aarushi said.

Aarushi always wondered about this mysterious guy. Advocate Amit Mudgalkar.. The main legal advisor & an activist of party. The national president of Party's lawyers' morcha which was formed by him only.

Aarushi never found any signs of him being a feminist. Still he was there with Aarushi in whole tour of state. He never really expressed his thoughts on this.

Aarushi knew he was married. But he never brought his wife fr any ceremony. He never even talked about her. Aarushi always wanted to meet her just to knw how Amit really is.

But still.. After everything.. She admired Amit. He was a gentleman.. He always treated everyone with respect. Being in politics Aarushi saw many worst cases of men but Amit was really humble & calm. He was a taciturn person. But his arguments in courts were excellent & aggressive. That's why Aarushi always found him mysterious.
