Chapter Thirty: Projects

Jung Mi's POV
Ever since that day I said to become friends with Taehyung, he started to say either 'Good Morning' or a 'Hi' to me when we walk pass each other.

Not to lie, I felt really lighten up and happy. I started eating up these days, but still it wasn't really that much. I started to sleep, but for like two to three hours in the night.

"Woooo who's the happy one today?"
Ji Eun came to me putting her arms around my neck.

"Haha n-nothing."
I smiled back to her.

"Your face is getting better and better, did something good happen to you?"

I replied Ji Eun back,
"Well, I talked to Taehyung."

"OMG!"
She shouted, gaining everybody's attention.

I apologized and bowed to the people who were disturbed,
"Yah! Not so loud."

She signaled me a sorry,
"How did you guys talk? What did you even talk about?"

"Just 'Good Morning's and 'Hi's."
I walked to my locker while earning Ji Eun rolling her eyes at me.

"Seriously? Just that?"
She crossed her arms.

"We became friends."
I smiled to her as I take my chemistry books for my next class.

"Not just friends Jung Mi!"
She shook my shoulders, using both of her hands.

I made her let go of my shoulders,
"He still has amnesia Ji Eun."

"What amnesia?"

I was startled by the voice behind me,
It was Vernon.
Ji Eun signaled to go to class, but I told her to go first.

"U-Uh, Hi."
I waved him a 'hi' awkwardly.

He looked at me in the eyes, and I looked back. This is getting weird what should I do? Damn what should we talk about?

"It's been a while."
He smiled, putting his hands in his pockets.

I nodded, looking down.

He suddenly spoke,
"U-Uh Jung Mi?"

I looked back up,
"About last time.."

I stood there frozen. What is he gonna talk about? The past that haunted me? The way he treated me? Is he gonna do something to me?

I started fiddling my fingers in nervousness.

He heaved out a sigh,
"I-I'm sorry."

"W-What?"
I was in complete shock, sorry?

"S-Sorry for everything I've done to you. Sorry for hurting you, I didn't mean it. On that day that you saw me talking with Im Na wasn't true at all."
He rubbed his back of his neck.

"What do you mean?"
I questioned him.

"I was just putting on a show."

It was a moment of silence between me and him, an act?
"I was going to betray her, because I wouldn't do anything to hurt you. Well, I didn't know that you heard the conversation between me and her, and you started avoiding me. In the end, I knew that you know about me and Im Na, so I decided to leave school to not pressure you."

I actually just had a BIG weight of burdens off my body just now.
It was just a misunderstanding then...

"I'm sorry Jung Mi, I really don't know how to make it up to you, but... At least can we be friends again? I promise that I'll make it up to you in a possible way."
Seeing his sincereness, I think what he said, it's true.

Should I make myself to trust him again..?
But I don't wanna get hurt again...

I heaved out a breath,
"Apology accepted."

He gave a huge smile and hugged me tightly.
"Oh-Uh-"

He lets go,
"Hahaha sorry, I was a little bit excited."

I laughed back at him, and the bell rings, that means it's class time.

"I'm gonna go to class."
We both waved a goodbye and head back to our classes.

I walked into my class, and realized Taehyung seat was still behind me.
But to my surprise, he actually showed up for Chemistry class this time.
He once told me that he hates Chemistry, so he didn't really went for the class.

I went to my seat, seeing him sleeping on my desk. Wait, on my desk?

Uh- what should I do? Teacher is gonna arrive at any minute...
I didn't want to ruin his sleep time, since I know he has his schedules as an idol and probably didn't even sleep.

"I'll just sit on your seat then."
I moved my bag to his place, placing my books on the table.

Class starts as the teacher came in,
"Okay class. Today we are going to talk about a chemistry project."

Projects again..?

The last time we had one was the time I partnered with Taehyung..

Flashback
"Jung Mi ah, I'll take the bags."
He took the bags and ran out the store saying,
"You're paying!!"

"YAH! KIM TAEHYUNG YOU COME BACK!"
I yelled, freaking Kim Taehyung!

I even heard giggling sounds of the customers in the store.
Sheesh, Kim Taehyung your gonna pay for this.
I gave the money to the cashier and ran after Taehyung.

I giggled softly, we were so happy back then.

He even lied to me saying he didn't have money at the moment but had a freaking big house!
I shook my head,
"I miss my Kim Taehyung."
I muttered softly.

The teacher continued talking,
"This project contains 3 partners or at least 2, so please submit your list of partners by this week."

Partners again. Who will I find to be one?
That's right! Ji Eun!

"Ji Eun-"
She was talking to Jimin, I mentally sighed.
"Obviously not she's gonna partner up with Jimin."

While everybody was going around the class finding partners, I was the only one sitting, thinking.

Who wants to partner with me anyway?
"Hey dumbass,"

I turned my head to see him staring at me,
"P-Partners?"
