35: The Surprise

     Pippa showed up soon with clothes. She walked into the bedroom, while Daveed waited outside, and changed her into pajamas.

     "There you go. She's really happy with you." Pippa waved goodbye to Daveed and she left the house. Daveed changed into sweats and a muscle tee. He turned the light off, plugged his phone in, and laid down, wrapping his arm around Annabella's small body which was curled into a ball. She moved so her head was on his chest. He gently rubbed her back, smiling. He placed his glasses on the nightstand.

     "Good night, Mon cher." Daveed closed his eyes, quickly falling asleep, holding Annabella in his arms.

     "DAVEED, WAKE UP!" Oak's voice thundered. Annabella flinched but she stayed asleep.

     "What?"

     "Lin's wife is in labor and Lin left for Miami right after the show."

     "Let's go." Annabella sat up, quickly running to grab her clothes from the chairs. She changed in the bathroom. After changing, she walked back out, where Daveed and Oak were. "Why are we standing around? I need to see Vanessa!"

     "Let's go." Daveed sped to the hospital, Annabella bracing herself. Annabella ran inside. "My sister Vanessa Miranda, just went into labor." Annabella swiftly lied to get into the room.

    "Yes. Floor 6, right from the elevator, 7th door on the left."

     "Thank you." Annabella walked swiftly to the elevator, Daveed and Oak following. Annabella waited impatiently for the elevator arrive, and after it arrived, it couldn't reach the 6th floor quick enough. As soon as the doors opened, Annabella ran to Vanessa's room.

    "Annie!"

    "Hey, Nessa, girl, how are you feeling?"

    "Baby Sebastian is ready to come into the world."

    "Does Lin know that Baby Sebastian is coming?"

     "No, I didn't call him."

     "I will." Annabella walked to the window and quickly dialed Lin's number.

   
Lin : Yo, Little Ramos.

Annabella : listen, Lin. You need to catch the next flight back. You're going to be a daddy within the next 3 hours.

Lin : Really? Okay, I'm on my way.

      Lin ended the call before Annabella could say anything else. Annabella walked over to Vanessa.

     "Okay. Vanessa, we're going to move you to the delivery room. Who are you taking with you?"

     "Annabella and Oak?" Annabella smiled and nodded, and Oak just nodded, serious and ready to be there for Vanessa.

    "Alright. You two, gowns on." They were handed scrubs, and they pulled them on, returning to Vanessa soon.

     Vanessa breathed in through her teeth, and Annabella knew she was having a contraction. Oak took her hand and Vanessa squeezed his hand tightly.

     "Sebastian! ¡Ay de mí! ¡Lin no puede tocar a mí nada mas!" Annabella quickly mentally translated the Spanish to 'Sebastian! Oh my! Lin cannot touch me any more.'

     "Oh, Nessa, come on. As soon as we get there, you can start pushing. Just hold on until we get to the delivery room."

      Vanessa groaned and cried out, squeezing Oak's hand. "Sebastian is coming!" The doctor rushed her to the labor and delivery room.
