This is one of my peeves when I am reading. I can't tell you how many times I've seen these two words misused.
THAN is used when comparing two objects.
For example, Her arms are bigger than her legs.
THEN has to do with time or sequence.
For example, I am going to my dad's house then I will go to my mom's.
