I soon arrive home with Edward, as he's following close behind me, and I open my door with my right hand, and I turn back to Edward. "Edward, I said leave me the hell alone." I say. "Cor, don't do this, please." He says. "It's over! Get out!" I yell, and slam the door, and head up the stairs, and hear footsteps following me. "Hey, hey, hey. Corn? What's going on?" Dad asks. "I just gotta get out of here. I left something in Phoenix. I'm leaving. Now." I say, and open my door with my left hand, and walk in, shutting it behind me, looking at Edward, and lock the door, and see him packing. "Hi." I say, and help him pack, and I hear a knock on my door. "Corn?" Charlie asks. "What am I supposed to have to go get?" I ask. "Doesn't he like fishing?" Edward asks. "You're a genius." I say, and grab a book on fishing on my desk with my right hand, and put it in my black bag. "I'll lie and say I left it in Phoenix but then realize I had it with me the whole time." I say, and he looks at me. "Perfect. You know, we make a good team." He says. "Corn, what's going on?" Dad asks. "I'll be down in the truck." He says, and I nod, and see him walk to the window, taking the bag clothing bag with him. I walk back to my door, and unlock it with my right hand, and open it, and step out, closing it behind me, and head to the bathroom. "Did he hurt you?" He asks, as I open the cabinet and look back to him. "No." I say, and look back at the cabinet, and grab some mouth wash and Ibuprofen, and put it in my bag. "Break up with you or something?" He asks, and just close the cabinet, and zip my bag up, and walk out of the bathroom, past him. "No, I broke up with him." I say, walking down the stairs. "I thought you liked him." He says, as I head to the front door, hearing his footsteps behind me. "I just.. I have to go. I have to go home." I say. "Home? Your. Your Mother isn't even in Phoenix." He says. "She'll come home. I'll call her from the road." I say. "You're not gonna drive home right now. You can sleep on it. If you still feel like going in the morning, I'll take you to the airport." He says, and I look at him. "No. I want to drive. I just.. I have to get what I left in Forks. You have to trust me, Dad." I say, and open the front door with my right hand, and walk out, slamming it behind me, and walk to the truck, and open it with my right hand, and get in, and shut it, and start the truck, and put it in reverse, backing up to the main road, and put it in forward, and start driving. I'm driving and hear a thud to my right, as I have my windows down, and see Edward. "Your Father trusts you." He says, and opens the door, as I'm looking forward. "Why don't you let me drive?" He asks, and I scoot over, and look down, sighing, and hear the door shut, and shake my head. "How? How can he trusts me? He thinks there's a serial killer on the loose." I say, lifting my head up. "He's always had faith in you. You're smart enough to survive. Just don't worry about him now. He's safe. The Tracker's following us." He says, and I hear a loud thud, and look to my right, gasping, and he shushes me, and I look forward. "Oh, God." I say. "It's just Emmett." He says, as I look at him, and hear the door in the back open and shut. "Alice is in the car behind us." He says, and I look to my right, and see Emma, Danny, Tyler, Antonio, and Henry walking out of the Diner, as they're laughing, and I look forward, sighing. We soon arrive to the Cullen house, and get out of the truck, and walk up the steps to the door. Edward opens the door, and walks in, and we see Carlisle and Laurent walking towards us, and Edward snarls at him, putting his right arm over my shoulders. "Wait." Carlisle says, putting his left hand up, and back down. "He came to warn us.. about James." He says. "This isn't my fight, and I've grown tired of his games, but how got unparalleled senses, absolutely lethal. I've never seen anything like him in my three hundred years. And the woman, Victoria, don't underestimate her. I don't know why she's hunting you." He says, and walks pasts us, and I hear the door open and shut. We all arrive to the Garage. "I've had to fight our kind before. We're not easy to kill." Jasper says. "But not impossible." Emmett says, and they walk over to a silver cabinet that's full of clothes, and Jasper opens it with his left hand, as we're following behind Rosalie. "We'll tear them apart and burn the pieces. Both of them. This didn't start recently. It began fifteen years ago." Emmett says. "I don't relish the thought of killing another creature, even a sadistic one like James." Carlisle says, and walks past us. "What if he kills one of us first?" Rosalie says, as she's sitting on the table, and I see Carlisle walk past me through my peripheral vision. "I'm gonna run Cor South." Edward says, as I look at him, and he looks at Carlisle. "Can you lead the Tracker away from here?" He asks, and Carlisle shakes his head. "No, Edward. James knows you would never leave Cor. He'll follow you." He says. "I'll go with Cor. Jasper and I will drive him South." Alice says, as we look at her. "I'll keep him safe, Edward." She says, and I look at him. "Can you keep your thoughts to yourself?" He asks. "Yes." She says, and he puts his arm down, as she grabs my right hand, and we walk over to the black Camaro. "Rosalie, Esme, could you spray this and put this flannel on one of you so the tracker will pick up Cor's scent?" Edward asks, as I Alice opens the door on the left side with her right hand, and I get in, and buckle up, and she shuts it, and gets in the front, as I hear the door open and shut, looking at Edward. "Why? What is he to me?" Rosalie asks, and I look down, and back to him, and look at Rosalie, and see Carlisle approach her. "Rosalie, Cor is with Edward. He's part of this family now." Carlisle says, and picks up my flannel with his right hand, offering it to her. "And we protect our family." He says, and Rosalie takes it with her right hand, and walks off, and I look down, and hear the trunk shut, and look up, seeing Edward. "Oh, my God. If anything.." I say, and look down, shaking my head. "What if. If anything happens, I swear to God I will kill James myself." I say. "Nothing's gonna happen." He says, and I look up at him. "There's seven of us, and there's two of them, and when everything's done, I'm gonna come back and get you." He says, and I nod. "Yeah." I say, and look down. "I'm sorry for returning to Forks and for all of you to be going through this. All of us." I say. "Cor, there's no need to apologize." He says, as I look up at him. "They've been hunting you probably since the day you were born. You are my life now." He says, and I hear the engine start, and he touches the right side of my face with his cold hand, and kisses me, as it's filled with the same cold, yet firey, extraordinary passion, and he puts his hand down, and Alice speeds off. We're headed to Phoenix, as I'm on the phone with my Mom's voicemail. "Hi, Mom. It's me again. You must of let your phone die or something. I'm not in Forks, but everything's ok, and I'll explain it later." I say, and hang up, and notice Alice holds her left hand out for Jasper, and he takes it with his right hand. We soon arrive to fancy hotel, and we're in our room, as Alice and Jasper are sitting on the couch, and I'm sitting on a small cushion square, and hear Alice gasp, and turn around, looking at her, and see Jasper looking at her as well, as she's looking forward. "What is it? What do you see?" He asks. "The Tracker, he just changed course." She says, and I get up, walking over to them. "Where will it take him, Alice?" He asks, turning to his right side, and he grabs a piece of paper and pencil with his left hand, and turns back to her. "Lockers. A room full of lockers." She says, as he places the pencil and paper down, and helps her hold the pencil in her right hand, and I see a picture of a locker. "Edward said the visions weren't always certain." I say. "She sees the course people are on while they're on it. If they change their minds, the vision changes." He says, and I notice a picture of a Phoenix on the locker. "Ok, so the course that the Tracker's on now is gonna least him to Maryvale High School?" I ask, and they look at me. "How do you know?" She asks. "There was a Phoenix engraved in every locker just like that one." I say, pointing at the picture with the Phoenix with my left index finger, and put my hand down, and my phone vibrates in my right pocket, and I pull it out, and see it's Edward, and answer it. "Edward, are you okay? Please tell me you're okay." I say. "We've lost the Tracker. The woman's still in the area. Rosalie and Esme are going back to Forks to protect your Dad. I'm coming to get you. Then you and I are gonna go somewhere.. alone. Somewhere where they won't be able to find you. And the others will keep hunting. I'll do whatever it takes to make you safe again." He says. I'm in my room, as I'm finishing packing up, while Jasper and Alice are downstairs checking out, and feel my phone in my right pocket vibrate, and pull it out of my pocket, and see it's Home, and answer it. "Hi, Mom, I'm glad you got my message. What are you doing home?" I ask. "Cor? Cor, where are you?" She asks. "Calm down, everything's fine. Breathe." I say. "Cor?" She asks. "I'll explain everything later.." I say, and hear rustling. "Mom, are you there?" I ask, and hear the cold, deadly voice of James. "Forks High School doesn't protect its students' privacy very well. It was just too easy for Victoria to find your previous address. It's a nice you have here. Too bad Carson failed fifteen years ago. I was prepared to wait for you here, but then Mom came home after she received a very worried call from your Dad, and it all worked out quite well. Mm." He says. "Wait, wait.." Mom says. "Don't touch her! Don't! Stay the fuck away from her." I say. "You can still save her. But you're gonna have to get away from your friends. Can you handle that?" He asks. "Where should I meet you?" I ask. "How about your old High school? Maryvale High. And I'll know if you bring anyone along. Poor Mommy would pay the price for that mistake. I destroy all the security cameras." He says, and hangs up. I'm downstairs near the lobby, and see Alice and Jasper turned away from me, and I look to my right at the door. I walk to the door, and push it open with both hands, and walk outside, and see a cab in front of me, and I open the back door with my right hand, and get in, and shut it. "Maryvale High School, please." I say to the male driver, and he drives off to the school. It's nighttime, as I'm in the cab, looking down. "I've never given much thought to how I would die. But dying in the place of someone I love seems like a good way to go. In Courage. In Selflessness. We soon arrive to the school, and he stops the car, and I hand him thirty dollars with my right hand, and open the door with my right hand, and get out, and shut it behind me, and hear the cab drive off. I can't bring myself to regret the decisions that brought me face to face with death. They also brought me to Edward. But I won't give up without a fight. I just won't. I pull the pepper spray out of my left pocket, and shake it, hearing the liquid inside, and put it back inside my pocket, and walk up to the Phoenix statue, and touch the wings, as their ice cold, but not as cold as him. Not as cold as Edward. I walk up to the school, and open the door with my right hand, and walk in, and close it behind me, seeing a bunch of lockers, and look around for my Mother, and see a Janitors closet, and look behind me. "Cor? Cor, where are you?" Mom asks, as I hear her voice echo inside the Janitors closet, and run towards it. "Mom?" I ask. "Cor?" She asks. "Mom?" I ask, running faster. "There you are. What are you doing in here?" She asks, and I open the door with my left hand, and see it's a video of me on the playground when I was four.
