Chapter 12

I got up, flat ironed my hair. I decided to wear my black Nike shorts with a crop sweatshirt, I went to my closet and grabbed my converse. I was gonna wear Adidas but it wouldn't match.

I went to the grove with Erika since we don't hangout as much anymore. As we drank our smoothies talking about things for prom I saw a boy. He was familiar. Then it hit me. It was him, the one who hurt Lena.

"What are you looking at?" Erika asked

"You see that guy over there?" I said eyeing him

Erika nodded

"That's Nick, he hurt Lena" I said

"How?"

"He always said he was gonna ask her out and she's been waiting so long for that to happen then his best friend told her that Nick always said he was gonna ask Lena out but never did and now he's asking out another girl, then her friend told her that he wasn't gonna ask her out and how Lena wasn't gonna find out but two people already told her" I explained

"And knowing you I'm guessing your gonna kill him now?" Erika said

"Yep" I said standing up

"Be careful!"

I stopped my tracks

"I thought you'd stop me" I said confused

"Well, he's a player and I hate him already, so you can kill him and do your thing" Erika laughed

I hugged her and went to him.

"Hey" I smiled

"Hey" He said putting his phone away

"Your gonna regret hurting Lena" I glared

"Your- oh shit- Chloe?!" He said shocked

"That's right idiot" I rolled my eyes

Before I could slap him a girl stopped me from doing it. Ava. She took my wrist and put it down.

"Leave" she said to Nick

He nodded and left.

"What do you want Ava" I said annoyed

"Can we talk?" She asked

"Since when did you want to talk with me" I asked rolling my eyes

"Look, I just want to-"

Before she could finish Erika came in the conversation.

"Ava, leave now, please. You've hurt her enough" Erika said in a stern voice.

"Please can I talk to you, Chloe" She begged

"You can talk to her in front of me" Erika said

"Fine" She said

We sat down

"I wanted to say sorry. I never wanted you to get hit by that car, it's just, I got jealous of how close you and Emilio were when we were dating" she explained

"That still doesn't explain why I got hit by a damn car!" I said

"It was Leo" she said

"What do you mean it was Leo?" I asked

"Leo and I were friends, I told her how you and Emilio were close and how I was jealous and she told me I should start a rumor about you so I did, I got people to hate on you and stuff. But then the day before you got hit by the car I found out Leo was hitting on Emilio when we were dating. She then said I should get a person to hit you with a car and I said no it was too far, we had a argument and i stopped hanging out with her" She explained
