Chapter 03: Early Disaster

B#37 - Oamil P.O.V.

"Dude, wake up," said Jayrome.

"What?" I asked, still sleepy.

"We're riding in a roro right now," he said.

"Great, now please can I get some sleep?" I asked.

"Well, sir said that we should go to the deck," he answered.

"Okay, help me get up," I said.

He holds me at the back and easily stands me up. I hold him at the shoulder and finally I get on my feet. I open my eyes and we are really inside a roro. I look around and everyone is gone. I look at him.

"Lets go?" he asked.

"C'mon," I said.

We go outside of the bus and see that there are no other cars inside. I look at the left side and see another bus. Looks like that we have own this roro. I look at him and he just walks pass me. I look him at the neck and see something shiny and silver.

"Wait up, dude," I said. He looks at me and raises an eyebrow.

"What is in your neck?" I asked.

"Oh this, sir said that this is a ticket to Boracay," he answered.

I touch my neck and feel something cold. I look at Jayrome again and he is smiling.

"You're wearing it, too," he said.

"What?" I asked.

"You're also wearing it," he said.

My heart starts to pound. Where did I saw this necklace? I can't remember. I look again at him.

"Why are you so pale? Did you see a ghost?" he asked.

"Uh, no, I just...I just got a bad feeling," I answered.

"Well, let's go to the deck, shall we?" he asked.

"Okay, let's go," I said.

We walk side by side. I still can't get a hold on myself. Why do I feel so nervous? I look at him again. He's just calm, very calm. I try to choke down something on my throat and try to speak.

"Jay," I said.

"Yeah?" he replied.

"When did sir gave this to us?" I asked.

"Well, when we're at the welcome arch of Lucena City," he answered.

"And who put this thing on my neck?" I asked.

"Sir Chard did," he answered.

I just nod. We finally reach the deck. I see that everyone is mingling with each other. I look from left to right, everyone is happy. Everyone is wearing the necklace. Now it gives me the chills. I feel all sweaty despite of the cool wind.

G#48 - Villaroman P.O.V.

I can hear the laughter of other students from the other side. I can tell that we are so happy and excited. I turn around and see Charles. I approach him.

"Hey, Charles," I said the hugs him.

"How are you?" I asked and look at him.

"Well, um, I'm fine," he answered.

"Dude, are you sick?" I asked.

"Um, no, just, uh, just nervous," he answered.

"Why are you so nervous about?" I asked.

"Well, I, I don't know," he answered.

"Look at you, you're sweaty and pale," I said.

"Am, am I?" he asked.
