Yay so here is another chapter for all you lovely readers :)
_____________________________________________________________________________
After telling Valery and Lilly about my trip with Blake, an apparently funny story especially when I told them about him picking a car, we decided to head home. So back in to the old Chevy we went and the singing started up again when ever one of us heard a song we liked.
When we got back Blake was waiting outside for us, smiling as we drove into the garage. And when we got out Blake was there asking us how the day went, the whole time he never took his eyes off me. I cocked my head to the side looking at Blake, why was he staring at me like this?
Valery and Lilly left to go back inside after a minute of talking; before the left they shared a look, smiling at each other.
"What?" I asked Blake once we were alone
Blake continued smiling at me, "Nothing" he said taking a couple of steps towards me until we were pressed up against each other "You just look really beautiful when you're happy"
The closeness plus his statement pulled me into a frenzy of blushing. As I looked up into his mesmerising eyes I felt myself moving closer to him, his head began to dip while mine tried to reach closer. Soon our lips were just a hairsbreadth away and still growing closer. I felt my ability to deny this slip; all I could think about were his lips on mine.
"Hey guys there's pizza on the table" Valery shouted walking back into the garage
At the sudden appearance of someone else both Blake and I jumped apart, both of us blushing. Valery seemed to notice this as her eyes went wide.
"Oh my god pretend I wasn’t here and go back to what you were doing" She gasped. Less than a second later Valery was running back into the house with her hands over her eyes.
Both Blake and I were so silent after that that we heard Valery whispering to Lilly at the entrance to the garage, "Geez, you'd think they would have already kissed by now!"
Valery's footsteps soon began to fade away and soon it was just me and Blake alone...again.
"Umm, well...ahhh. We should probably go and get dinner" I said still nervous, was I really about to kiss Blake?
"Ahh yea" Blake agreed while scratching the back of his head nervously, a faint blush could still be seen on his cheeks.
I sidestepped Blake and began walking out the door, I had to make sure my back was to him or else I know I'll not be able to stop myself from kissing him...he looked too adorable when he was nervous. 'Oh lord' I thought, I should not be having these thoughts about Blake.
"He is our mate!" A voice in my head exclaimed, this voice I'm guessing is the shifter pert of me.
Although I knew what it was that spoke in my head, I still couldn’t help but jump a little in shock. Blake must have noticed this because he came closer and put his hand on my shoulder.
"Are you all right?" He asked looking in my eyes
Oh god, I felt like I was going to faint. Does the boy know when to leave me alone? Does he know what his hand on my shoulder and his eyes are doing to me? "Yea, I'm fine"
"The pizza is in the games room" Valery said walking in front of us.
Following behind Valery and Blake I though over my sappy thoughts: I was never one to think thoughts of the sort, but ever since meeting Blake my mind had been over ridden with sappy thought after sappy thought.
The games room was filled with the loud shouting of teenagers all trying to get a slice of pizza, it wasn’t like they weren't going to get any...there were piles upon piles of boxes stacked up on the table. The smell of pizza lingered in the air well after all the pieces were gone, they assaulted my nose as I sat on the couch with my feet in Blake's lap.
Right now we were watching as a group of boisterous boys were battling each other in a game that I had never heard of, Blake obviously knew a lot about it as he was cheering them along using terms that I could not even think to comprehend. I was trying to concentrate on the rules of the game but I couldn’t because Blake was stroking my feet, if it was anybody else I would have slapped them! Blake's actions had obviously not gone unnoticed by the others, especially Sean who was waggling his eyebrows suggestively at us both.
The night was progressing and the younger ones had gone to bed when another guy had entered the room, I don’t remember ever meeting the guy but I knew I had seen him around school.
Upon entering the guy stopped, looked at me and sneered, "I'm not staying in the room with that thing" he said pointing at me.
Within a second Blake had jumped up off the couch and had the guy up against the wall, before he could even reach the door, "How dare you even think about saying that about her." Blake's voice was full of anger as he gripped they boy's collar tighter, "Now you apologise to her"
"I'm not apologising to that filthy hunter" he muttered a scowl still present on his face
A loud growl erupted from Blake's chest. Without a second though I jumped up off the seat and ran over to Blake, ready to calm him down...But the guys next words stopped me in my tracks.
"Hunters don’t care for us, they'll kill us without a second thought"
"Yea? Well they have a valid reason to" I yelled seeing red "I don't remember werewolves caring when they ripped Noel's 8 year old sister right in front of her eyes!"
As soon as I said it everyone in the room turned to look at me, all eyes wide in shock. One light haired girl with chocolate brown eyes had tears running down her cheeks.
"Damn rouges" Valery muttered shaking her head
Another boy nodded while putting his controller down, "Yea, those rouges have been going around alot lately, killing humans"
"They have been trying to get a reaction out of the council" Blake said sullenly, he had now removed his hand from the other guy's collar.
"Sorry about what I said before, that was uncalled for" he said after clicking his neck, "I'm Adam".
"It's okay. You must have had a reason behind the hatred?" I questioned, nobody was ever that harsh without a reason.
Adam looked down, closing his eyes before looking at me again, "My parents were killed by Hunters"
This time it was my turn to be shocked. Maybe, just like werewolves, hunters never thought about the lives of these people either....maybe we had a lot to learn from each other.
