The Real Savior (Newt X Reader)

Chapter 2

"I'm here to offer you a deal," Dr. Janson said. "I'm going to need to talk to you separately. So (Y/N), come with me," he held out his hand for her. She didn't take it and just walked right past him. She left the room and was blindfolded and muffled.

Gunshots were heard and (Y/N) was really scared. She was just rescued from WICKED and now she was being dragged back into it. Then she thought that maybe the rescue was just a part of the operation. To make the Gladers, including herself, think that they're safe.

She felt herself being dragged into a room. She was forced to sit down and then the blindfold was taken off of her. Her eyes looked around the room and landed on the blonde lady that she once called mother. She glared at her while the woman in front of her just gave her a smile as if nothing bad has happened.

She's lost it.

She never really had it.

"Hello Subject X," she said.

"Ms. Paige," (Y/N) replied in a monotone voice.

"As so you know, the first part of the Trials have been completed. We're still thinking if the subjects should continue on the second part of the test."

"You said that I was the cure! My blood was their freedom from these tests!"

"Yes we did. We didn't lie to you but we still haven't finished the correct formula for the cure. You understand right? You were a scientist and one of the best."

(Y/N) didn't reply and just thought of how long they'll be able to make the correct formula for the cure. "I can help. You said that I was one of the best scientists here. I can make the cure."

"How long do you think you can make it?" Dr. Paige asked with a smile on her face. She wanted this conversation to go this way.

"Give me two weeks."

"Splendid!" She beamed. "Dr. Janson bring her to her room and keep her there. Bring Teresa inside when you're done."

(Y/N) was led inside a huge room which was like a studio flat. The only difference was that there was an extra room just for her experiments. Dr. Janson told her that she could watch anything on the television. Whether any movie she wants or to see her friends at the Scorch.

Tons of food came to her room when Janson left and (Y/N) ate like she hasn't eaten in days. (Y/N) was about to get out of her room to see what was going to happen to Teresa but she couldn't open the door. She reached the telephone and pressed Janson's number which was written on a piece of paper.

"Janson why can't I leave the room?" She demanded.

"Didn't you hear your mother? She told me to keep you there which means to lock you inside. Besides, you have everything you need there."

"First off, she isn't my mother anymore. Second, when I get out of here, you'll get the worst time of your life!"

"Looks like your boys are having the worst time of their lives."

"What?" (Y/N) was now worried. She wanted to know what other horrible things they're doing to them.

"Click to channel 12, you'll see your precious boys."

(Y/N) hung up and pressed 12 on the remote. There she saw that the boys were all wondering what was happening outside. More gunshots were heard and footsteps were getting louder. Thomas seemed to be thinking of something deep and Newt seemed to be doing the same.

(Y/N) turned off the channel and took a plate filled with whatever she could get. She took them to the lab where she started her work. Dr. Paige wanted her to start from scratch while is challenging but (Y/N) thinks that it's plenty of time because a lot of thing could happen to her friends for two weeks.

Three days have past and (Y/N) has made a little progress but she was glad that she made some. For three days, her friends were starved while she was treated like a queen, well sort of. She feels guilty that she can eat while her friends can't even find a single bite, so she didn't eat for those three days and just drank water just like them.

Then one day, they were finally let out of their room and was given a feast. The boys ate so messily and (Y/N) was so happy to see them enjoying themselves for once. Their fun was ruined when Dr. Janson appeared or, Rat Man, as Minho decided to call him which cracked up (Y/N). They were told about the next trial or test that they need to do. They only have two weeks then they'll get the Cure.

(Y/N) was about to go back to work but Dr. Janson called both Newt and Thomas into his office. (Y/N) was curious on the reason behind this and listened before she would continue doing her work.

"What else do you need to say that you can't say in front of the others?" Thomas asked.

"I'm just here to ease your mind and tell you what happened to your girlfriends."

"Girlfriends?" Both boys asked in unison.

"Oh I'm sorry. Ex-girlfriends," Janson said with a smirk. He winked at the camera because he knew that someone was watching them.

He was right. Someone was watching them. Someone was watching them with eyes filled with fury.
