The Real Savior (Newt X Reader)

Part I: Chapter 1

"M-mom?" She croaked. When she said that word, she immediately remembered that she wasn't asleep for the past few weeks.

She remembered that she was beaten and experimented on. The way she was treated was worse than everyone in the Maze has been. She was treated like a rat by her own mother. She remembered that many times, her mom asked her to beg and to admit that what she did was wrong, so then her mom will forgive her and stop everything. Many times, (Y/N) was tempted to go to her mother and beg her just like she asks her to. But whenever she will do it, she thinks about her friends and all the people she's helping.

"I-I mean, Ms. Paige," (Y/N) said weakly.

Ms. Paige didn't even give her a second glance and left the room with all of her blood. (Y/N) tried to stand up but she was too weak to. She slipped her arms from the straps that held her. She lifted her arms and touched her face.

"What did they do to me?" She cried out. She began to feel so much hatred for her mother and cried. That's all she could do. She could only cry and feel sorry for herself.

After a few minutes, she heard gunshots and got really scared. She wanted to stand up and see what was going on but she was too weak to do that. Then she heard shouting and she was really itching on leaving the room. Many times she tried to stand up but she failed. Then she heard footsteps, they were getting near her door.

"Listen girlie, we don't even know if your friend is alive!" She heard a male voice say.

"Please just look through this door. This last door, then we'll go with you," she heard a female voice say.

(Y/N) felt that the girl who was speaking was someone she knew. Her voice was very familiar but she couldn't put her finger on who it was. (Y/N) nearly jumped when the door was kicked down and then on the other side, she saw Teresa and Thomas.

"(Y/N)!" Teresa wrapped her arms around the girl and (Y/N) did the same. She looked at Thomas who was about to cry.

(Y/N) then felt strong arms carry her and she saw that it was the man who kicked down the door.

"Alright let's go. The bus is waiting for us," he said.

As (Y/N) was being carried away from WICKED, she saw that a lot of people were dead. She looked around but she didn't see her mom. She knew that she must've managed to escape. The thought made her scowl.

"Hey kid, are you (Y/N)?" The man who was carrying him asked. She didn't get a good look at him but she felt as if she knew him somewhere.

"Yeah. How do you know me?"

"I work for the Right Arm. We've been wondering where you were. Thank you for the information that you've given us. Who knew that the daughter of the one who created all this would be the Savior?" He gave a short laugh so that the girl he was carrying would give him a small smile. "Here," he said, giving (Y/N) a piece of bread.

(Y/N) smiled at the irony an took the bread and savored the taste of it. "Thank you."

She was laid down on the bus where the boys all looked at her because she was so familiar. She was well acquainted with all the kids on Maze A and B. They all knew her, they just need to remember that they did.

"(Y/N)! I missed you so much!" Teresa gushed.

"I missed you Teresa," she gave her a big smile. "Where's Thomas?"

"Over there," Teresa pointed to Thomas who was sitting beside Newt.

Newt.

(Y/N) felt nervous with seeing him the flesh once more. Especially with everything they went through together.

(Y/N) reached out her hand for Thomas and he took it. Thomas started to cry when he held her fragile hand. He could easily break her bones.

"What did they do to you?" She heard someone in the bus ask.

"They um. They," before she could start, she started tearing up. "They took all of my blood. They only fed me once a day so I had to know figure out how make it last for a day. They also beat me once a day, then forcefully put me to sleep," (Y/N) cried on Teresa's shoulder. "I can't believe that my mom would ever do that to me!"

"Who is your mom?" Someone else from the bus asked.

"She's Dr. Ava Paige."
