Chapter 2: Fun day

Moon followed Professor Kukui to Iki Town, which should be the residence of the island's Kahuna.

"This route reminds me of Kanto so much, it has grass, items and trainers." Moon knew that every other place seems that way, but desired to recall the memories of her birthplace.

"I remember something like this too", Kukui responds sympathetically, "I had to travel Kanto for a brief time, yeah. I think it was the most difficult journey I ever had" Kukui turned to Moon.

"I don't think I'll ever be able to do something like that again, cousin. They got me messed up", Moon was shocked to hear that the professor visited the horrid condition of Kanto.

"I wish I could explore more of Kanto", Moon tells her new companion as she explains her desire.

"My mother was worried about my safety, ever since Team Rocket disbanded, there has been nonstop spreading of gangs all interested in two things: poaching and battles." Moon lowered her head in response to her loss in adventure.

"One of our champions, traveled Kanto at the age of 11, my mother tells me that he began with only the Pokémon given to him, I believe his name was Red." Moon rose her head and continued her story.

"He continued training his Pokémon and explored every route, as the story goes. Then one day, he confronted Team Rocket, and they threatened to steal his Pokémon." Moon stops and looks carefully at Kukui.

"Red fought those grunts and defeated them, however, he didn't stop there. Red went on to end all Rocket operations with the help of his Pokémon. Soon, he became stronger than his rivals and defeated Team Rocket and challenged the Kanto Elite Four, and finally became Champion." Moon face became firmer than her posture and continued.

"I want to follow that Champion's example to stop evil and become, not only a strong willed Pokémon trainer, but a noble Champion." Moon smiled at Kukui

"It felt good to get that out there." The walk to Iki town felt a little longer than what Moon expected it to be.

"I hope that this journey could help you follow that legend you want to pursue, amigo" Kukui said admiringly to Moon.

"Thanks, now where's that Big Kahuna?" Moon looks around curiously for the Kahuna that's on the loose.

Iki town releases more pleasant trees and vines than the rugged houses in its view, making Moon wonder how it could be called more of a town than a village.

"This town reminds me of a fictional village in a book I read, people seem more united here than in Kanto".

"Well in that case, let's split up and take a look around, yeah. You could enjoy the village a little more and probably find the Kahuna", Kukui says confidently and wanders into the village-town.

Moon agrees with his judgement and looks around only to find a familiar white dream-like shape. It's the assistant. Moon starts toward the girl and begins to think what she's like.

"Maybe she's nice. She looks kind of cute. Where did that come from?" Moon wonders why she's thinking about the assistant's beauty and finds her moving along a trail.

"Maybe I should follow her, she might need some help since Kukui sends her off to do strange things".

Moon hurried along the trail and spotted the assistant at a bridge with a cloud-like object. The mysterious shape hovered swiftly to the center of the bridge and out of reach of the assistant's watchful eye.

Out of nowhere, a group of Spearow shoot down onto the cloud figure and start pecking at it. Moon ran over to the bridge to stop the Spearow, and glanced over to see the smooth, bright face of the assistant and blushed, causing her to trip.

Moon stepped carefully onto the first step of the bridge to gain balance and to make sure she doesn't fall, followed a pattern of steps to get to the cloud.

Moon stepped onto the platform that the cloud remained in and covered the cloud figure with her body from the aggressive Spearow.

"PISS OFF!", Moon kept shooing away the violent birds.

Then suddenly, a blue aura shot out from beneath Moon. It was the cloud. The energy disintegrated the bridge's parts and led Moon to a tremendous fall, guaranteed to end her life.

Then, Moon saw it, a yellow light. It swooped down and retrieved her from the air and left her beside the assistant.

Moon stood blank, not knowing whether to believe what she had just witnessed or thank the mysterious creature. The creature roared powerfully and flew into the air and disappeared.

"Oh my goodness, are you both alright?", Moon had the cloud and let it out onto the ground, "Pew!"

Lillie looked glad and smiled at Moon. Moon blushed and answered, "I'm not so bad, am I?"

Moon then thought about her attempt at being witty. "Not so bad?? How stupid did I sound?"

Nevertheless, Lillie smiled at Moon and hugged her tightly. "Thank you so much, I don't know how I could ever repay you." Lillie's warmth and friendly smell made Moon smile and think to herself

"I think I made a new buddy. Oh no, am I blushing again?"

Moon then felt an object at their feet. It was the cloud with a strange white stone.

"Pew!" It shot out and motioning towards Lillie and gave the white stone.

"This stone feels warm, could this be yours?"

Moon took a long look at the stone and said, "It doesn't look like anything I've seen before."

Lillie smiled again, "I think you should have it, I don't know what I could do with it." and gave Moon the white stone. "Thank you", Moon smiled and took the stone.
