Hayley Mills peeped into Ralph Fiennes's trailer and entered on tip-toe. She wasn't trying to sneak in, she just wanted Ralph to see how well her tiptoe technique had improved, recently.
She had been creating a new tiptoe ballet, which she considers her greatest work, to date. She'd been performing parts of it in the nearby park, and people are starting to pay attention to her work, although this makes her wary. She wonders if she should wait until the tiptoe ballet is completely finished, before anyone sees more of it. She'd decided that if Ralph was impressed with her tiptoeing by itself, and not as part of the ballet, that she shouldn't worry about what was seen ahead of time.
She needn't have worried. People who'd seen parts of it early, said that it helped them to appreciate the final tiptoe ballet better. But those who saw the ballet for the first time as a completed work, said they were glad they'd waited.
Weeks later, Hayley was thrilled to be asked by Nancy and Sluggo to incorporate her tiptoe ballet into their "Grand Tiptoe Tour", which would take place the following summer.
