Ashley's POV
Curly and I had finished our food and Curly started pulling out his wallet to pay for all the food. "Ashley for the last time can you cover yourself?" Curly says. "Why?" I ask. "Because you're still in your sports bra and shorts and the male population in here are constantly staring. Plus our waiter has been over here like 50 times JUST because he wants to see your boobs." Curly says. I shrug and roll my eyes. "Whatever. Pay for the food, give our hot waiter a big tip, and let's get the hell out of here." I said. He rolls his eyes but still takes out a bunch of paper bills and slips then in the little folder thing the waiter gives you. We stood up and Jordan saw so he jogged over here and picked up the little folder. "Thanks for coming to IHOP. Please come again." Jordan says. I walk up to him and my lips were close to his ear. I whisper, "I'll text you later." I pull away and walk out of IHOP with Curly trailing behind chuckling.
"What did you say to the kid?" Curly asks. "Something simple yet very much effective." I said. "Which was..." Curly trailed off so I could tell him. I sighed and said, "I told him I would text him later." "Wow." Curly says. We walked back to his car. "So where are we going now?" I asked Curly. "Home duh." Curly says. "Aww but I wanted to go somewhere." I whined. "Too bad. I'm tired." He said. "Fine you piece of banana." I said. "Banana?" Curly asks. "Yeah you are a piece of banana." I told him. He chuckled and rolled his eyes. He drove all the way home. I let my head rest on the cool glass window. My eyes started to droop. I then suddenly fell asleep.
**************
I felt someone shake my shoulders, waking me up from my deep sleep. "Hmm?" I hummed. "Wake up idiot." Curly said. "Fine you asshole." I said and unbuckled my seatbelt but froze when I saw my father's truck parked on the driveway. "Oh looks like dad's home. Cool." Curly said. I stiffened and said, "I got to go see Nathan for a bit." I told Curly. He nodded suspiciously as if he knew something was wrong, but he mentioned nothing of it. "Alright here take my car then." he tossed me his keys and I sat in the driver's side, starting the car. I pulled out the driveway and waved goodbye to Curly who was waving at me from the front door. I silently drove to Nathan's house when I decided to text him to let him know I was on my way to his house. He replied with an 'Ok', so I set my phone down in the cup holder and I turned on the radio and 'Sarah Smiles' by Panic! At the Disco played instantly.
I tapped my fingers on the steering wheel, bobbing my head to the music. As I neared his house the music slowly died down. I turned the steering wheel and parked in his driveway, killing the engine, and walked up the steep driveway towards his house. I took out my key for the front door and opened it. "Natey I'm here! You better not be naked cuz I'm going to your room right now." I walked up the stairs and walked in his room to see him sprawled on his bed with bunches of paper scattered around it and a open textbook laid out in front of him. "What's that for?" I ask him, pointing to the textbook. "It's for science." He answers back, looking down at the book again. "We have a science textbook?" I ask him, my face scrunching up in confusion. "Yeah we do. Don't tell me you set it on fire and forgot about it." He said. I scoffed. "Please, I only did that ONCE. God Nathan, why you gotta assume shit like that? It's probably deep somewhere in my locker." I tell him and he shakes his head.
"You sure you don't wanna go to the party?" He asks and I shrug my shoulders. "I don't know. If I finish my fight early then I'll stop by." I told him and I was serious about that. I heard the person I'm fighting is some scrawny girl so I'd probably knock em out in the first round. "Another scrawny competitor?" He asks. "That's what people are saying." I said shrugging. "Well good luck even though you don't need it. Why did you come over anyway?" He asks as he furrowed his eyebrows. "My dad was home so I didn't feel like getting beaten before the fight." I told him and threw myself on the other side of his bed where there were no papers. "Hey hey hey, what do you think you're doing?" He says craning his neck to look at me. "Getting comfortable." I told him, putting two hands behind my head. I closed my eyes and crossed my legs. A couple seconds later I groaned and said, "Natey your so fucking boring. Stop doing your homework and chill with your sis bitch."
