Chapter Thirteen

Depuis le début

"Yori, he is our new prisoner" Rou told him. Satarou realized the tent was full of a few other prisoners. Sararou also realized that they were all wereanimals. There was a bunny, a tiger and it's cub, a chihuahua, a coyote and a lion cub. It was a full tent, especially with the added addition of Satarou.

"What are you?" Yori asked, "by the looks of you, you are a wereanimal. But oddly enough, you don't have a scent."

Satarou stayed quiet, choosing to stare the man in the eyes without showing any emotion.

"Shift now" Yori hissed through his fangs.

"Sounds like a pleasant offer, but I will have to refuse" was Satarou's reply. Immediately Yori punched Satarou with enough force to make him fall onto the tent's rough floor.

"How about now? Still refuse?" Yori was all but raging. He did not like being told no.

Satarou's expression didn't change one bit. With as much certainty as before, he says, "I refuse."

Yori began kicking Satarou and continued to kick him until he was spitting out blood.

"Give up yet?" Yori asked, hissing.

"Is that the best you can do?" a smirk crosses Satarou's lips. He normally wouldn't act that insane, but he figured he needs to act more taunting in order to play things out the way he wants it to.

"Oh, you!" Yori roughly lifted Satarou up by the collar of shirt. Snarling, Yori threw Satarou onto the ground next to the tiger and the lion cub. He was bleeding and it was soaking through his clothing, not to mention he had still been injured from his previous fight with Casper. Yori shoved a collar onto Satarou roughly, "this is a shock collar. Do not even think about escaping as it will shock you. Only I am able to remove it, so don't even try. You will get shocked. And trust me, it won't be pleasant. Stay in this tent, because if I find out you left, you will get shocked." He watched Yori leave the tent with Rou.

Satarou turned towards the Chihuahua instead, "so, why are you guys in your animal forms? And between us, I do speak dog."

The Chihuahua looked up at Satarou tiredly, "he forced us to go into our animal form. I wouldn't be too confident soon, because he might just use some magic to force you into it. You may have been able to hide your scent somehow, but you might not have much longer before you're forced into your animal form. Why are you here?"

Satarou couldn't tell him the full story. He did not know who might be listening. So instead, he said, "I was found lurking on Moonstone territory. So they brought me in as a prisoner."

"Somehow I don't think that is the full story, but I'm sure you can't say it out loud for whatever reason" the Chihuahua told him.

Upon closer inspection, Satarou noticed that the sleeping bunny was actually the princess Marina! "Why is she here?"

The Chihuahua tilted his head, "I was brought in with the princess, though we hadn't been together. But before we were forced into our animal forms, she said that she had been helping several people who were wrongfully prisoned escape. She didn't want them to be executed ever. She has been here for a week now."

"Does she have help on the way?" Satarou tried to keep it as if he didn't know her. As it is right now, the Moonstone clan would do anything to get him to answer their questions, and he doesn't want her to be put in danger. After all, she did help him. And this was his mission. He couldn't risk getting anyone involved.

"Well she is the princess. She will certainly be found sooner or later" he explained.

"Right. Who are you guys?" Satarou asked.

"I am Rahvi. I was found at the Moonstone borders along with the princess. The tiger is Muali, and her cub's name is Yuvi. They were wrongfully taken from their clan, along with the poor little Lion cub, Rawl. The coyote's name is Mux and he is a thief who steals from clans in order to survive. He just happened to pick the wrong clan to steal from" the Chihuhua explained.

"Well there certainly is a party in here" Satarou mumbled.

"Another thing" Rahvi added, "I would not recommend pissing off Yori. He can and will kill you. So for whatever reason you're here, you might consider giving it up in order to stay alive."

"Sorry" Satarou mumbled, "but I can't risk it. If I die by the end of this, then fine, but I won't die until I carry this through."

"Exactly what are you doing?" Rahvi asked, curious.

"I can't tell you" Satarou responded, "there might be too many people listening. All I know is that they will kill me as soon as they get their answers, but until then, they want me alive."

"I heard talking in here!" Yori's voice rang loud in the tent as he walked in. He stopped in front of Satarou and began glaring at him, "who were you talking to? Can you speak dog? I thought I faintly heard barking."

"I was pretending to talk to a dog, and also pretended I was a dog responding back" Satarou yawned, "it was a lot more entertaining then being being hit by you."

"What's that? You want to be hit again?" Yori hissed.

"Awe, are you in desperate need of a punching bag?" Satarou said tauntingly. He felt the impact of Yori's fist hitting his face.

"Don't say I didn't warn you!" Yori hissed before going back to his usual spot.

Satarou decided to stop his taunting for now. It wouldn't do him good if he kept getting beat up. He was already a bloody mess, and at this rate, he would be dead before he carried out his revenge plan since Yori couldn't keep a calm temper. He would need to find a way for the princess to escape without sabotaging his revenge plan, and if he was lucky, he would find a way to help the rest escape as well.

He began to think back on his last conversation with Yui. The guilt kept growing, and Satarou knew that he promised Yui that he would not continue to try and get revenge on Casper. But in the end, Satarou didn't know what else to do. He had been thinking about ways to obtain revenge on Casper since he was eight. Since the day his parents were mercilessly murdered. And now Yui would probably hate him for breaking such a big promise.

I'm sorry, Yui, Satarou thought.
