Chapter 9- Wedding Planner

Next morning Jake and I were rushing around my room trying to prepare. We woke up late and we have to meet our wedding planner which Tracey hired, much to my dismay.

"I'm done," Jake announced and plopped himself on his bed.

I took my black heels but then changed into Doc Martens.

"Lin, hurry up!" Jake growled.

"Heels or these?"

He rolled his eyes. "That one. Now let's go."

He stood up and took me by my wrist to pull me out of the room.

"You are so rude," I hissed.

"We are so late."

We were meeting the wedding planner at Starbucks. And Tracey's hidden agenda was to plan out wedding publicly so that people could snoop around and boom Jake's face would be all over the tabloids. And Jake was too naive to notice.

I looked around and saw Tracey sitting with a red haired girl.

We walked towards them with Jake's hand entwined with mine. I was very much aware with the people looking at us.

Jake looked towards Dave and nodded his head towards him. They seem to have a silent conversation all the time. Dave nodded his head and the. Sat twi tables away from where Tracey and the girl sat.

"Jake, you're late," Tracey said immediately but with a glare towards me.

"I'm sorry. We woke up late," he said.

He could take the blame on me but he didn't. That was a big deal to me.

Tracey shook her head then offered us a seat. "Jake, Lin, I would like you to meet Katrina Brooks. She'll be your wedding planner."

We said our hellos with Katrina. She was nice and lovely.

I thought everything will go well until Katrina started talking. She maybe our wedding planner but I would like to call her our wedding dictator.

Jake held my knee under the table as she went on. I wanted to punch Jake. This maybe a fake wedding but can't we have it our way?

I mean beach wedding? It's good but we both know that beach weddings were still a delicate situation to us. Then they want it to be full of celebrities!

"Okay, so about the wedding gown. Here are the choices," Katrina said and placed three sketches of wedding gowns.

My face burned in anger. I wanted to growl. Do they even know how insulting this was for me?

"Um, Katrina. You see, Lin is a fashion designer and I think she'd like to use her own design," Jake said.

"Jake, it would be better to have a professional to design her dress," Tracey said with a nasty smile on her face.

"You might be forgetting that we design for The Wallbangers," I hissed.

My hands clenched to a fist and I wanted to ram it to her face. Jake held my hand to stop me but that made me angrier.

"This is your wedding, Lin. We want to make this stress free for you."

Fake. Fake. Fake.

"Fine. I don't see anything nice in this sketches," I said nastily.

Two can play this game.

"Oh. Well, I can get other designs," Katrina said with her cheeks flaming red.
