Chapter 33 - Think Twice

I stared at the door where Jake previously slammed as he stormed out. Tears had stop flowing. The pain was unbearable that I couldn't feel anymore. I just lost my baby and now my husband. My boyfriend....my love.

Obviously, he doesn't love me enough.

Right now, all I wanted was him. I want him to hold me and soothe me with his words. But that didn't happen. Instead he blamed me.

I stared at the bottle of pills in hand. It was the pills I took awhile ago. This was safe for pregnant women.

"Lin, please clear your head first," Jenna said.

I didn't look up. My eyes were glued on the pills. This was safe pills for pregnant women!

Her cold hand touched my arm. "Lin."

"He doesn't trust me, Jenna. I can't be with him if he cant trust me," I murmured.

"He's in shock. You took pi-"

My head snapped at her. "Please tell me you believe me."

She pursed her red lips into a thin line. "It was in your bag and cupboard."

First Jake now her. A smile made it's way to my face. But unlike any other smile this was an empty smile. It wasn't fake and it wasn't real. It was nothing.

"You don't believe me."

She shook her head fiercely.

"No it's not that," she paused as if she was looking for words, "It's just that. It's there..."

"Get out."

"What?"

"I said get the fuck out!" I screamed at her.

Her eyes were wide as she fumbled with her fingers.

"Lin, please unders-"

"Fuck off! Get out! Get out!"

She abruptly stood up and walked towards the door in fear.

"I'm so sorry, Lin."

"I don't want to see you."

Soon enough, she was gone. And I was all alone.

"Mrs. Grey-"

"Ms. Wilson," I corrected the doctor.

She pursed her lips and nodded her head. "Ms. Wilson, you will be discharged tomorrow."

"Good," I murmured.

"Did you know that the pills you took were abortion pills?" She asked after awhile.

I raised my head. I wanted to glare at this doctor but I couldn't.

"No."

She nodded her head but her eyes held worry and doubt. I couldn't blame her. In fact, I couldn't blame anyone. Not even Jenna or Jake. I took the pills. It was in my bag and cupboard. I may have not intentionally took it, but I still did.

But what confuses me, why was it abortion pills when the bottle says it's for headaches and safe for pregnant women. It was even prescribed by my doctor.

Did someone switch my pills?

The first person that went in my head was Tracey, but it was rather impossible. Not because she said she was sorry, but because it was in my house and she couldn't possibly switch my pills right away with the small hug we exchanged at the cafe.
