Chapter 2.

Having changed into dry clothes I went in search of Mikey knowing that nothing had actually been made official, and not knowing whether I was staying with his pack or moving on, I knocked on his office door and went inside, seeing him and all the guys in there, “ hey sorry Mike, but we didn’t actually settle anything earlier on, and I still need to sort out my car and hit the road as soon as that’s been dealt with, so what do I have to do to straighten out this whole territory thing, oh and about that did you like piss all around the whole border so everyone knew it was yours or like did you mark it a different way, because that would be a lot of piss believe me, and has anyone ever told you to get a haircut gosh Henderson it’s like Barbie meets Ken and had a sex change, do you have problems with your identity should we sit down and have a couch moment, do you like girls or guys because seriously I don’t judge, man I accept all sorts and if that’s the case I will buy you lots of soap so feel free to drop it at any moment “ I rambled on

Ttalking more to myself than anything and only just tuning back in at the roar of laughter inside the room, I looked over at Mikey and he was bright red and even he was finding it hard to contain himself, “ what, what did I say ?” I tilted my head a confused looked on my face.

“Man, you’re one of a kind” laughed the beta I think his name was Danny, I was still confused but I smiled over at him and then looked back at Mikey with my eyebrow raised, he cleared his throat “ Kadie, I would love for you to join our pack, I don’t think it is wise for you to be travelling around, especially as a rogue and wolves thrive in a community, you could train here and hopefully become a pack warrior because god knows you’re too dominant to stay in the kitchen” I smirked at that “and I think I speak for everyone here when I say that I’m proud to know someone as strong as you, being able to survive a rejection, and still come out strong and laughing on the other side, your pack and brother didn’t deserve you but we would feel honoured to have you as part of the family, and honorary little sister” at this point I was literally bawling like a little bitch, I couldn’t get out any words so I just nodded, “welcome to the pack” he said to me and just like that I felt the familiar sensation of the pack link filter through my head, and I smiled, I felt like I was home.

After a little joking around in his office Mikey stood to show me where I would be staying but before he could go anywhere I said “ dude as much as I’d like to call these guys scowly, Jedward and toots, maybe you should introduce us, they spluttered not knowing whether to be offended or laugh at themselves I just winked, while they rolled their eyes “ Kadie this is Danny” he said pointing at his beta “these are the twins Jackson and Charlie” I laughed that was a joke waiting to happen and then he pointed at moody Margaret who oddly enough seemed to have toned his scowling down “ and this is Skylar” I nodded “ ok so Danny, Sonny and Cher and Sky, yep I think I got it” and shot them a cheeky wink they laughed at me, while we followed Mikey up the stairs to the second floor, “you can have this room, Jackson and Charlie are down the hall and Sky’s next door, Danny and I are on the floor above” he opened  the door and my jaw nearly hit the floor the view was amazing I had an overview of the forest, and there was so much land and nature and I bet the sunsets would be amazing, apart from the view the room was pretty plain the walls were white and there was no furniture, Mikey explained that all rooms were bare so that everyone could make the rooms their own, fair enough, which meant that I got to have a sleep over with one of the guys until I managed to get around to going shopping and getting my room pimped out. For the first time in years I felt at home and at peace, I felt optimistic about all the future had to offer, and looking within myself I felt that Nia felt the same way.
