Hiccup

I walked through the forest with the knife in my hand. I knew that I had to make a difference in the village and there is one thing that can make that happen.

I have to kill a dragon. I knew it was the only way that Stoick and the whole village would appreciate me and I wouldn't think I would be a disgrace and outsider among them.

I sighed as I hear the forest winds through my way and looked around in anger.

"How hard it is to find a dragon way out here in the woods?!?" I yelled, but I knew that no one would help me answer my question.

As I continue to walk around, I heard a sound coming through the trees. I was scared, but I knew that Vikings don't have to be scared at all.

With all the courage I had within me, I walked towards the sound.

What I saw was a dragon, laying in a net. He must've been stepped into the trap and had no way out.

I was amazed of the beast, but I knew that killing it is the best way to let me fit in within the village

I was amazed of the beast, but I knew that killing it is the best way to let me fit in within the village.

I walked towards the dragon with the knife in my hand. This moment would change my life forever.

Everyone would change their thoughts about me, including my own father and cousin.

I said, "Hiccup, you can do this!"

I placed my knife in front of me as I prepare to kill the dragon in front of me

I placed my knife in front of me as I prepare to kill the dragon in front of me.

"There is no turning back. Snoutlout and the whole village would believe that I, Hiccup Haddock the third, became the first dragon killer in all of Berk. Finally I will impress Astrid Hofferson too." I thought.

As the dragon stares at me, it was pleading with me, trying to change my mind.

"No! I will not change my mind! You have no idea what I've been through and you're a dragon!" I yelled.

I raised my knife as I pierce his chest, and the dragon's body became absolutely still.

Blood spilled through my hands and the knife.

I knew right then, that the dragon was killed.

I laughed in delight of my accomplishment.

"I did it. Yes, I killed a dragon!" I said.

But all of a sudden, a dark cloud surrounds me.

It happened so fast and I felt something went inside me and caused me to faint into the ground.

Astrid

I see the young Viking on the ground.

Why was he doing in the woods alone?

I picked up the young boy and brought him to the Haddock Household.

Stoick sees the boy and demanded, "What happened, Astrid!"

I replied, "I don't know, sir. I just arrived in the woods and see Hiccup laying in the ground with his knife."

The Chief looks at me then said, "Well, thank you for bringing him home. He did enough damage for one night."

I nodded, knowing that Stoick needed space with the young Viking.

As I left the house, Fishlegs, Ruffnut, Tuffnut and Snoutlout looked directly at me.

"Why you all looking at me like that?" I asked the group.

"You like my cousin?!?" Snoutlout asks in total disbelief.

I said, "What?!? Why would you think I liked him?!?"

"It was just a question, Astrid!" Fishlegs said, trying to calm me down.

Fishlegs was right. It was a question after all.

Was I really starting to have feelings for that boy?

As I was thinking, I heard a strange, yet familiar sound coming through the village of Berk.

"Night Fury!" A villager said.

The Night fury was super fast in a speed of light as it flew past us, destroying one of the houses and terrorizing the villagers!

"Astrid, you and the other teens need to get out of here!" Stoick demands.

We watched as the Night Fury set plasma blasts and then disappears into the night sky.

"What was that about?" Snoutlout asks.

I said, "I have no idea. But it looks like we just spotted a Night Fury in front of our eyes!"

"But how is that possible? I thought that Night furies are just stories." Fishlegs said, pointing out.

"Fishlegs, you really believe that didn't happened?!? This is serious!" I said.

It got me wondering, why would a Night Fury ever raid a village like Berk in the first place?
