FROZEN COTTON CANDY

she tasted like cotton candy,

sweetness that melted on my tongue,

like a fragile, intoxicant cloud.

she was an easy target,

didn't last long with me,

because with a guilty craving,

I managed to ruin her.

she tasted like sugar,

like all sweet things,

like summer.

and I sucked all of the warmth

from the mouth that preceded to change me

every second it met my frozen one.
