Part 41 - To Train

Then Romeo and Macao are arguing about whether the guild should do it or not.
Everyone else is still looking confused except the members who were around for the 7 years.
"Those of you with me to not do this? Say I." says Macao.
"I" reader says raising her hand along with others like Bisca, Alzack, and Jet.
Reader is ignoring the thunder legion who are still wanting her to explain. Then Natsu comes into the guild.
"So what are we exactly talking about doing and not doing here anyway?" asks Natsu.
"While you guys were all stuck on Tenrou island, a tournament started to determine the number one guild." says Romeo.
"Sounds like a lot of fun to me." says Natsu.
"Guilds from all over the country face off against each other in magic events. They call it Grand Magic Games!" says Romeo.
"I understand. Sabertooth is known as the top guild in Fiore these day cause they won the last go round." says Erza.
"And the year before that.. the year I entered. I lost badly." says reader.
"What? But you were the strongest wizard here when we were gone." says Freed.
"It's a long story." says reader.
"Oh I see, is that why you told me to still want to train?" asks Laxus.
"Yeah." Reader says looking down.
"We're in!" says master.
"Sabertooth thinks they're hot stuff? Well just see about that! So when does thing go down anyways?" says Natsu.
"In three months!" says Romeo.
"So what do you say? Wanna train with me for 3 months?" Laxus asks reader.
"Ugh.. I don't want to be in the games." says reader.
"You could change your mind." says Freed.
"Now the final decision has been made, there's no need for all this moaning and groaning. So let's get to work! Let's win that 30 million jewel and the title of Fiore's number one guild! Fairy Tail is entering the Grand Magic Games aiming for the top!" says master.
"Yeah!" the members cheer.

Later on.
Reader is sitting at the bar.
"So you ready to go?" asks Bixlow walking up to reader.
"Yeah." Reader says lifting her bag without turning around.
"Awe don't be so down. You don't have to be in the games. Just come train with us." says Evergreen.
"You're right. Let's get going." says reader turning around to head out the door.
Laxus and Freed are waiting outside the guild.
They start walking along and reader sees Erza's team walking another direction.
"Good luck on your training guys!" Reader yells towards them.
"Thanks!"
"You too!"
"Good luck!"
"See you in 3 months!" says Erza's team.
Then they continue on.

Laxus, the thunder legion and reader are walking together.
"I'm so happy! Laxus back in the guild. Training with a girl besides Freed." says Evergreen.
"If you're referring to me being a girl by wanting to cook for you all then by all means, cook for yourself." says Freed.
"I'm totally fine with that." Evergreen whispers to reader.
"I've heard that." says Freed.
"Can you girls stop bickering already?We've haven't even gotten out of Magnolia." says Laxus.
Freed looks annoyed and Evergreen sticks her tongue at Freed. Reader laughs at Freed and Evergreens actions. Laxus walking ahead smiles at the sound at readers laugh.
"Anyways! It still feels weird that (Y/N) is our age now.. seems like last week she was just.. 13?" says Bixlow "13 13!"
"Yeah! Let's talk about that. You and Wendy were the same age now you're a completely grown woman! You've joined my age club sweetie." says Evergreen smiling.
"So where are we going to train?" reader asks Laxus.
"I know a good place, I've found it when I was on my journey." answers Laxus.
"Anywhere Laxus chooses is fine by me." says Freed.
"As long as we can have nice relaxing breaks, a girl needs her beauty rest." says Evergreen.
"You need a beauty coma." says Bixlow "coma coma!"
Freed and Bixlow laugh.
"Say something like that again and I'll turn you to stone" says Evergreen.
"Then you'll have to carry their stone bodies along the way" says Laxus.
Bixlow laughs.
"Hey! Isn't that the same thing (Y/N) said to Ever before?" asks Bixlow.
"Oh yeah you're right." says reader as she laughs.
"I never seen you so happy now." says Evergreen.
"Well after everything that has happened, it feels great to be here with you guys." says reader.
"Were glad you and the others kept the guild going all through these years." says Freed.
"Yeah!" says Bixlow "yeah yeah yeah!"
"So tell me, during those years, did you meet anyone?" asks Evergreen.
"What?" says reader shocked.
Laxus pays attention. So does everyone else as they wonder what her answer was.
"No, I was mostly gone doing job after job." answers reader.
"All work, no play." says Freed.
"Basically." says reader.
"Well, were here." says Laxus.
"Already?" says Evergreen.
"No, looks like we're jumping on a train." says Bixlow.
They get on the train and Laxus goes into a cart and closes the door behind him.
"(Y/N) come sit with me." says Evergreen.
Bixlow and Freed sit together and start discussing training methods.
"Why is Laxus not sitting out here with us?" asks reader.
"Why you miss him already?" says Bixlow laughing.
"Laxus prefers to be alone when he's on transportation." says Freed.
"Freed hates that he does." says Evergreen.
"Yes, I'd prefer to be able to watch over as he travels." says Freed.
"But why watch over him? Is there something wrong?" asks reader.
"Nothing to worry about, sweetie." says Evergreen "Freed, stop trying to cling to Laxus."
Bixlow starts laughing.
"Cut Freed a break, he's just getting overprotective because (Y/N) is getting Laxus' attention lately."
"Hardly." says Freed.
Reader looks out the window as they ride along to their destination. Is Bixlow's comment true? Reader thought.

They finally arrive at the train's destination so they start getting off the train. Reader notices Laxus hasn't come out of the cart yet, so she walks towards the cart door. Slowly opening the door to a dark cart, not being able to see Laxus.
"Light shine." says reader.
Then she sees Laxus sitting down with his eyes closed.
"Laxus? We're at our stop." says reader.
Laxus doesn't move but just grunts. Reader then closely looks at his face, in awe of seeing his scar up close, then steps back. Someone clears their throat behind reader, startling her.
"Holy shit!" she screams.
Reader turns around and sees Freed.
"I wonder how Laxus would feel if you came in and invaded his privacy?" says Freed.
