Part 57 - Laxus' Turn

Laxus is looking at his opponent. Focusing on his energy he's giving.

Lisanna, Alzack, Bisca and the thunder legion are on a lookout in case Raven Tail's tries something like they did during Lucy's battle.
As reader watches, Juvia mentions having a bad feeling about this.
"Yeah, I'm getting that feeling too." says reader.
"Let the battle begin!" says the announcer.
Laxus is standing there then he is hit by Alexi.
Reader is surprised along with everyone else. Then Laxus is hit again and again. Laxus isn't able to fight back.
"Something is not right! Laxus!" yells reader.

Back down in the arena. Laxus hears reader yell his name. He's under the illusion everyone is seeing. Laxus looks back at Alexi who are actually still standing in the same place. The fight is just an illusion.
"It must be nice to know your guildmates hold up in such high regard. They must be heartbroken watching you fall to your enemy like this." says Alexi.
Laxus looks around at everyone and sees how worried they look and he looks at reader in the stands. Laxus sees she has her eyes closed looking angry. Laxus looks back at Alexi.
"I don't get it. This plan of yours doesn't make any sense at all." says Laxus.
"Victory in this match is not our goal." says Alexi.
Laxus then sees the illusion of himself starting to fight back.

Everyone who's watching the illusion is happy he's finally fighting back.
What's up with his fighting style? Reader thought.

Back to where Laxus is.
"So that's your idea of controlling the match. You think I care?" says Laxus.
"The idea is that I can arrange for you to win this match, depending on our negotiation." says Alexi.
"Ain't no way I'm falling for that. I don't give a crap about your stupid illusion, but I can't wait to defeat you here and now." says Laxus as he takes off his coat.
"That's not gonna happen."
Laxus hears a different voice other than Alexi's. Then appears the rest of Raven Tail's members.
"Even you wouldn't be able to simultaneously defeat all of Raven Tail's elite." says Alexi.
Laxus stands his ground as the Raven Tail members all stare at him.
"and one more thing.." says Alexi as he takes off his mask.
The man names Alexi revealed himself to actually be Laxus' father, Ivan Dreyar.
"You know, I had a feeling you were behind that mask. Deadbeat dad." says Laxus.
"Tell me where I can find the Lumen Histoire." says Ivan.
"Sorry, never heard of it."
"Don't play dumb with me."
"I'm not."
"If Makarov was to tell anyone about the Lumen Histoire, it would be his beloved grandson."
"Guess not, cause I don't know what you're talking about. Even if he did, why would I tell you?"
"If you refuse my terms your illusion form won't be the only one getting a thrashing."
Ivan then looks towards reader's way.
"My daughter in law looks like she could be a target."
Laxus gets angry.
How does he know about her? Laxus thought.
"Oh? Think I don't know about my own son? I seen the way you looked at her when she called your name, she must be important." says Ivan.
"You think you can scare me? Better think again old man. It's no wonder the old geezer gave up on you. Come at me all of you. You're the enemy of Fairy Tail's master and that means you're my enemy too, especailly if your threaten the one I care about." says Laxus
"I think it's about time for your father to teach you an important lesson, this guild was made to take down Fairy Tail once and for all."
"So you created Raven Tail just to bring us down, huh?" says Laxus not amused.
"Isn't he brilliant?" says Flare.
"I've hand picked every member, taking us all on would be an attempt to suicide, boy." says Ivan.
"Oh yeah?" says Laxus.
"Test us out, see what happens." says Ivan.
"You see the old man has been doing his homework too. He knows all about your plans, the guild rank, locations, operating funds. He knows it all." says Laxus.
"It was Gajeel!" says Flare.
"To think he was a double agent all this time!" says Ivan.

Back where reader stands, watching the illusion of Laxus getting beaten.
Why isn't he fighting like he fought with me? This doesn't make sense. Reader thought.
"What's his problem? Is he too in love to fight or something? I was hoping for a fight, not this boring.. *ahchoo! aww really? Don't tell me I've come down with a cold or something. Not now." says Gajeel.

Laxus is still standing in front of his father and his guild.
"After everything you've done, the old geezer still manages to have a little faith in you cause you're his son." Laxus says his father.
Ivan is becoming anger with every word Laxus says.
"Silence!" yells Ivan casting a spell to attack Laxus.
"Tell me where the Lumen Histoire is, Laxus! Stop hiding it! You're my son aren't you? Where's your loyalty to your family?!" Ivan continues to say.
Just before the attack hits Laxus. He think about what Makarov and Natsu says about family. Blood ties doesn't matter it's about who actually cares. The attack then hits Laxus. Laxus is still standing as the dust settles.
"So you just took my attack, testing out my power or is it something else? Can't bring yourself to strike your father? What a sweet little boy, Laxus." says Ivan.
Laxus is silent.
"Laxus!"
Laxus hears his grandfather calling his name. He turns to look and sees Makarov doing his sign of watching over him. Every member of Fairy Tail is doing it as well. He looks and sees reader is doing it herself.
Laxus then has memories rushing through his head of all the good times he spent with the guild and being there for each other and seeing readers smile. Laxus smiles at these memories.
Laxus then charges up and goes for the attack towards his father but the Raven Tail members then attack Laxus. Laxus ends up taking the Raven Tail members down one by one leading his father left standing. Laxus walks towards his father.
"Laxus! I'm you're flesh and blood!" yells Ivan not wanting Laxus to attack.
"Fairy Tail is my only family now, anyone who threatens them gets no mercy from me!" yells Laxus as he attacks his father, knocking him out.
The illusion disappears, revealing the real Laxus standing all charged up and the Raven Tail members all knocked out.

Reader looks at this in amazement and everyone is just as shocked and amazed.
"Whoa! What happened down there?" says the announcer.
"So the whole thing was just an illusion?"
"He wiped out the entire Raven Tail team by himself?"
"First Erza, then (Y/N) now this guy?"
"There's no messing with Fairy Tail this year! They're killing it!" yells couple people from the crowd.
Reader is standing there smiling at Laxus.
"The winner is Fairy Tails Team B, Laxus Dreyar!" says the annoucer and everyone is cheering.
Laxus walks off the arena.
"Raven Tail has been disqualified for 3 years from the grand magic games." says the announcer.

Reader then waits for the next match to start.
"Did you miss me?"
Reader hears Laxus and she turns around and sees him standing there.
"You were great, Laxus!" says Mira.
"Yeah! Thought you were putting us on." says Gajeel.
"Juvia is proud of Laxus!" says Juvia.
"Thanks. So why did you look so angry most of the time?" Laxus asks reader.
"Cause whoever that was fighting down there wasn't you. I hate when you're not being you." says reader turning her head away trying not to look at Laxus. Laxus sees that she's blushing and he smiles.
"Awe that's so cute. (Y/N) is blushing." says Gajeel.
"Shut up, Gajeel!" says reader scaring Gajeel.
Laxus laughs with Mira and Juvia.

"Up next! Fairy Tail Team A's, Wendy! Vs Lamia Scale's, Shelia!" says the announcer.
They all turn to watch. Laxus then grabs reader's hand then says quietly to her.
"I'll always be myself for you."
Reader smiles at his words.
