Let Her Go

                                              You had me close
then you let me go.
You were near my sight
and I held you tight 
like a dream all night.
Awakened by a nightmare
quickly you disappeared. 
I noticed something missing. 
My heart wasn't beating.
I checked my pulse
and it was gone.
I was alive, but I felt cold.
She kept me alive, she kept me warm.
My thoughts would say, "look for her!"
However,  my heart said, "You had no feelings for her, don't cause more pain."
So I followed my heart, but I haven't found the last piece to be complete.
