"So, you decide to hold my client without due process?" Duke's lawyer demanded, the woman looking both flustered and angry, it didn't take a genius that her anger was coming out more then just doing her job. "You honestly think that you both will still have your badges when I'm through speaking to your boss?"

Isaac looked to Claude who looked just as annoyed, perhaps even more before speaking. "Ma'am, I think your confusing your client as a victim. He had told you the reason for being arrested, hadn't he?"

Her eyes narrowed. "He had,"

"And what did he say?"

"My client explained to me that you had placed charges on him after he was assaulted by a teenage girl."

"And he said nothing as to why this teenage girl punched him?"

"The girl has a mental disorder," Duke said with a shrug. "How can I explain how a crazy rich girl acts out for attention?"

Claude arched a brow. "Acts out? You were the one who violated her personal space, going so far as to try and touch her, then grab her against her wishes when she told you to leave her alone and there-by being punched in the face. Giving me more then enough cause to bring you in, on top of your obstruction of this investigation and leaking of prudent information to the case at hand, knowing full well it would lead into panic. And other multiple things that you have done in the past on record while you were here in this town." His eyes narrowed on Duke. "I can go on with this if you'd like?"

Duke tisked and looked away.

Claude looked to the woman. "As for talking to our boss, he knows very well of what's been transpiring not to mention your client verbally and physically assaulting an officer's niece especially since that girl is the daughter of Johan Liebert, being the CEO of a long-established company I'm sure you know how it will end."

The woman soon looked concerned and looked to Isaac.

"He's right," Isaac said as he looked over the file. "You're more then welcome to bring this up with our boss, but honestly I don't think it'll end well for your client. Considering his past record with the Ryerson family a few years ago."

This time Duke sent a glare Isaac's way but remained silent.

Isaac looked to the woman before standing. "If you would like to have some time to deliberate with your client we can allow it, we have some things we need to go over as well."

The woman nodded. "Y-yes that's alright, can you give us an hour?"

"We can" Claude responded as he readjusted his glasses and looked to Duke with a menacing stare. "Try not to waste it."

When the two officers left the room, they could hear the woman shouting angrily at Duke, though Claude ignored it. This however caught Isaac's attention.

"What's going on with you?" he asked as Claude took a drink of water from the cooler. "You normally don't let what a suspect says get to you, what happened with you and him last night Claude?"

His partner merely looked to the empty paper cup and his black gloves. "Do you... think I'm strange? Like there's something wrong with me?"

Isaac looked at him with an arched brow. "What brought this on? Sure, some of the things you do is a little odd, but you close cases, more so then any of the other detectives or policeman your age. But I don't think there's anything wrong with you. Is what Duke said bother you that much?"
