A/N: The picture above is what I used to write the tiger poem I had about 20-25 minutes to write that one. The first poem, Winter, I only had about 10 minutes, so it's not my best work, but I like it for what it is and I hope you guys do too. Enjoy =]
*~*~*
Winter
Between her heaving breaths, she whistles
These are the sounds that Winter makes
As she trudges through the town
Ice cracks beneath her feet and snowflakes crinkle her nose,
But her smile never falters
Winter has lots of friends and children are especially fond of her
She'll make you shiver with joy and have you blushing
when she comes to hug you
But don't get in Winter's way when she's in a bad mood
Because she'll make you numb from the tips of your ears down to your toes!
Winter is one of a kind it's so nice when she stays for an extra-long time.
~*~*Picture~*~*
Her fur shimmered as she crashed into the river.
Large paws dig into the roaring waters.
Her grace made you want to watch her for hours.
She was majestic. She was a drug.
She was like the twist ending in your favorite thriller book
Her body oozed power, the kind that made your insides bubble with excitement
One look in her crystal eyes made you shiver.
Now look again
her white stripes are what define her
And again
her black stripes stand out against the sea foam
And again
The pattern on her skin stitch together so perfectly
to make a flawless balance between camouflage and defiance
Your addiction toward her makes you grow stronger
It isn't long before your jumping into the cool waters
She challenges you for attention, but you don't back down
Water drenches your hair, your face, and your skin,
but it doesn't stop you, it makes your lips curl with anticipation
It's time to show this beast who the true queen of the jungle is.
