Animal Farm: Zoo edition
It isn't uncommon to question the ability of man.
Although man may have a lot of things going for him.
He can tie his shoes and count by twos
He can have a wife and a lavish life
Man can aspire to do great things
But let us not forget he should be shamed
and blamed.
For man has a lot of things going against him too.
He'll put wild creatures in a zoo
And an untamed brother in a prison
The only difference is the cost to watch an animal prowl back and forth
Man can be consumed by greed and pride
He can become unrefined and divided
And yet he is still the top of the pyramid of life.
So let us turn the that pyramid upside down
Let us laugh with glee as he falls to his inevitable tragedy
For the day is upon us to escape from our metal bars
Let your chests puff out, feathers ruffle, and spikes rise
As you give your best barks, screeches, and rawrs
It's time to reclaim the food chain
You are wild and you are beautiful
Don't let the cage that surrounds your world define you
Show the onlookers exactly what they came for
Leave them in fear and awe of your grace and prowess
This time we will not be silenced
This time we will put a shiver in the spines of man
Nature will always overpower nurture
Look! can't you see it?
The world is shifting! It's turning on it's side.
Louder we must be louder. We must raise our voices to the heavens
It's working! It's working!
You see we are stronger and more united than man!
But do not turn your back away from him
For it isn't uncommon to question the ability of man.

I wrote this at 3 am so sorry if it sounds a little wonky, but I'm not mad at it haha. Well to be honest just one line because I had trouble finding a place for it in my poem. Also I made an old school T.V. reference see if you can figure it out! On a different note I've been reading these awesome history podcasts so I got fun facts up the wazoo! Fun Fact: In 1930 Wisconsin protest the use of synthetic butter A.K.A margarine (And tbh Wisconsin still has a personal vendetta with the stuff)
