English Class (Not a very catchy title, sorry ^_^')

A Love Note For Valintine

I want to write you a poem that would make Shakespeare quiver in his boots,

but even that wouldn't be enough to express how much I've fallen for you. 

I've fallen so hard that the ground beneath me has split. 

Each time you smile, the earth crumbles just, a bit more.

I am a coward because I listen to my mind and not my instincts.

We speak like friends, but I constantly wonder, 

what would be like to speak like lovers.

Some days it's hard not to go up to you and blurt out my emotions.

I like to think afterwards, that we'd kiss passionately

and you'd hold me in your arms.

In reality, I know I would vomit three little words

And in return, you'd clutch your stomach and scrunch up your face.

I'd then have to get you a trash can,

while my heart sank below my feet.

I want to just put my foot down and just "go for it,"

but this time I've said something to make you laugh

and now my entire world has shattered.

I find myself falling again and I squeeze my eyes shut,

hoping you'd be there to catch me.

My back crashes into the hard soil and I realize

that I've landed in yet, another level of hell.

I open my eyes and blink a few times until I focus on you.

The earth shakes, but this time I am prepared.

I won't let my heart break again. 

I take a step forward and it feels like I'm walking on thin ice.

As the earth cracks, my body moans in protest, 

not ready for another crash landing.

I've felt the pain of falling too many times and

I understand the consequences of disobeying 

my right mind, but you are worth it.

I want to make you see more of me

I want you to deluge in love of me

the way I have for you

And I won't give up

even if it means, by the time you finally do notice me

it will be because I'll be covered in bruises and casts

However, I will give you my best black and blue smile,

Because I know the next time I fall,

you'll be falling right beside me.
