Our broken pieces fit perfectly together
And our broken hearts complete each other
And when our scars align
I feel your hand touch mine

Is this what it's like to be loved?
Well, I can never get enough
Because you make me feel alive once more
And you give me something to live for

Before we met, we were both dying
Spending our hours silently crying
But then you brushed away my tears
And I helped you to fight your fears

When I realized your smile was fake
And you saw that I was about to break
You saved me and I saved you
And we learned how to make it through

Alone, we were lost and scared
We thought that no-one ever cared
But then I found you and you found me
And we both found out how to be free

Both our hearts were broken
Tied down by words unspoken
So we put our broken pieces together
And we watched them complete each other.

[This is a poem I wrote about two years ago, to go into a book I was writing. This is a love poem from one character to another. Even though I never got past the first few chapters, I seriously love this poem. I think it's a bit cliché in parts though, what do you think? I want someone to love me like this, to understand me like this. On another note, I got 700 reads on this book, as well as a ranking of #415 on poetry, although I lost it again. I seriouslu want to celebrate! I want to do something for you guys as well. What do you think? In a previous "Not A Poem..." Chapter, I suggested an author (poet?) ask or maybe special request poems, but I didn't get any feedback. I want to know what you guys think. If it weren't for you guys, this book would never have made it that far.]
