It Isn't A Joke

People with actual problems
Are not taken seriously
In this world were problems are
Dealt with quite jokingly
They laugh in the comedy
When someone jumps of a bridge
They "nearly had a heart attack."
When it was really a startled twitch
And let's not even start
On all the serious illness and rape
I know some people laugh things off
But sometimes they accidentally block your escape.

[I don't actually like the way this poem is written, I might edit it later. I just wanted to convey this message. If I'm honest I'm guilty of this too, especially when it comes to heart attacks and rabies. But if we all tried a little bit more, and encouraged our peers to do the same, we might one day find ourselves in a world were people's cries for help aren't dismissed for a joke.]
