"What are you thinking about, love?" Lena asked, resting her head on the blonde's shoulder. She sighed.

"I don't know, just about Krypton. And you, of course," she responded thoughtfully.

Lena smiled, kissing Kara's neck.

"You know, I feel like my planet got destroyed for a reason," she continued. "I'm finally able to use my powers, and to save lives with people like Mon-el and James. I have the best sister on the world and, somehow on the way I managed to get the most beautiful woman in the entire universe."

Lena sat up, looking at Kara. "Kara, that's the kindest thing anyone has ever said to me."

Kara smiled sadly. "I wish it wasn't. You deserve all the love in the entire world, Lena."

She paused, clearing her throat. "Which is why I want to invite you to have Thanksgiving with my family next week. They'll love you just like family. A-and it would mean a lot if you could come."

Lena grinned, squeezing Kara's hand. "Of course I'll come. T-this is the first time in, Rao, years since I've spent a holiday with someone."

"Did you just say 'Rao' Miss Luthor?" Kara laughed. "I didn't know you were Kryptonian."

"Ah, it's one of my secrets, Miss Danvers..."

Kara tilted her head, closing the gap between their faces. "Any more secrets you wanna show me?"

Lena bit her lip. "Not here love, but I'd love to bend you over my desk...anytime."

Kara flustered with the buttons on her shirt, blushing furiously. Lena tilted Kara's chin up with her finger, deeply kissing her. Little did they know, a reporter was just feet away, snapping a picture that could change both of their lives.

One week later...

"Lena, you look beautiful. I promise," Kara insisted from the other room. "Hurry or we're gonna be late!"

Lena was panicking. She was formally meeting Kara's adoptive parents for the first time, and not to mention it was at Thanksgiving dinner. She was wearing a white blouse and a slim, navy blue skirt that stopped just above her knees. She'd asked Kara a million times about each outfit, every time ignoring her opinion to change into another. Lena could sense Kara's frustration from across her flat.

She let out a deep breath, slinging her purse over her shoulder and smoothing her skirt down. "Okay, Kara. I'm ready."

"Finally," she heard her whisper. She ignored her because the blonde looked so cute. She wore a navy blue and white polka dot dress with a belt cinching her waist, accompanied by a matching blue cardigan to cover her shoulders.

"Are we flying?" Lena asked, chewing at her lip nervously.

Kara smirked, nodding. She swooped Lena into her arms, kissing her cheek. "Hold on tight, angel. I've got you."

Within a few minutes, the pair arrived at the quaint Danvers' home, the sounds of National City replaced by the peaceful hum of the country side. Lena liked how calm it was here. Life seemed to slow down; which she desperately needed.

The CEO smoothed her ponytail, buttoning up her blouse which had come undone on the way here. Kara pouted in protest, causing Lena to shake her head in amusement. She sighed, Kara taking her hand and squeezing it reassuringly. She pulled Lena in, kissing her softly and relieving all the tension in her body.

"Don't worry, Lena. If Eliza and Jeremiah love Maggie, they're bound to love you even more," Kara reassured her. Lena nodded, and then knocked on the door.
