A/N: Hey guys, please keep in mind that although this fan fiction is based off the Supergirl TV series, I've changed some of the information to better format my story line. Enjoy! :)

Kara Danvers' two favorite things in the world were pot stickers and her sister Alex. Even better, sharing pot stickers with her sister. And by sharing, that meant Alex got a couple while Kara ate the rest. Ever since last summer, as she faced the triumphs and struggles of becoming Supergirl, these two things remained constant at the top of Kara's list. That was until two months ago, when she met Lena Luthor.

Two months ago...

"Kira I need you to get to Luthor Corp to investigate the Venture attack on Lena Luthor... immediately," Ms. Grant ordered, causing Kara to nervously adjust her glasses, a habit she picked up as a result of them being slightly too large.

"Of course, Ms. Grant," she said, nodding at Kal, her cousin.  Since he came to National City, he and Kara have been protecting the city together, while on the side, also investigating various alien criminal cases. One of them involving Lena Luthor, someone that Kara had only vaguely heard about.

Together, Kara and Kal began to exit the office, until Cat stopped them in their tracks. "On your way back, get me a latte, Kira."

Kara rolled her eyes, peering at her cousin. Ms. Grant seemed to forget she was now a reporter for Snapper, no longer her assistant. Of course Kara still listened, or else she'd be fired.

After a quiet yes, the two entered the elevator, reaching the roof top where together, they both flew to the Luthor Corp headquarters.

As soon as they landed, Kara quickly adjusted her hair, positioning her glasses correctly. Kal smoothed his blue button up shirt, which, by the way, was very revealing of his muscles.

"Do you seriously always have to show of your biceps?" she teased, elbowing his side. "You damn well know girls would swoon over you if you were covered in garbage."

He laughed, adjusting the strap to his bag. "C'mon, let's go inside."

Kara strolled through the towering glass doors first, a hint of jasmine lingered as they slid open. The lobby to the building was pristine and white, almost blinding. Fortunately, the receptionist desk was backed by a dark, wooden wall, the Luthor Corp symbol looming over the entire room. The atmosphere was not what she expected. Luthor's reeked nothing but evil, yet somehow the aura of the room felt clean and orderly.

Kal gently nudged Kara to the front desk where a woman sat, happily obliging to assist them. Kara studied her surroundings as her cousin spoke with the receptionist. Within a few moments, Kal rested his palm on her shoulder, leading them towards a hallway that became eerily quiet as they left the main entrance area. She turned to look up at her cousin as they walked, a worried expression on his face.

"Hey, don't worry, I'm sure Lena isn't like the rest of her family," she encouraged him.

"I can't believe we're doing this," he murmured. "You know I don't trust Luthor's." Given his past with Lex, Kara couldn't blame him.

They rounded the corner, standing right in front of Lena's door. Kara grabbed Kal's arm.

"Well, I guess we'll just have to trust that she's different." They both let out a short sigh, Kara opening the door.

Kara couldn't see the woman sitting in the chair, only a distorted reflection in the window. The figure spoke. "Clark Kent, what a pleasant surprise."

Lena's voice wasn't cold and sharp like she assumed. Instead, it was prompt and authoritative, not a hint of hate or bitterness. Lena turned in her chair, revealing her face.
