After making a couple of sandwiches And putting into a bag, Vanessa grabbed Matts hand and they made their way to the car, she told one of Damons guards to inform Damon about their whereabouts and left the house with the little boy.
As soon as they arrived to the park, Mathew jumped out of the car and ran to the playground, Vanessa chuckled lightly and followed after him.
She sat on a bench and watched the little boy play, but little did she know that there were people watching them.
After spending a couple of hours in the park Vanessa started to feel a bit uneasy, so she called Matt over and started making their way back to the car, but before they reached the car someone took Matt from her hands
Vanessa quickly turned around and took her gun out, she pointed at the man holding Matthew, the poor boy was struggling in the mans arms
"Put the boy down" yelled Vanessa pointing the gun towards the man "No can do, and what are you going to do, you are outnumbered" He said smirking, just than Vanessa looked around and saw at least two more guys behind her
"Put the gun down sweetheart" he said mockingly, and so Vanessa did "Now put your hands behind your back" he said tightening his hold on Matt "Do I have to?" She asked acting innocent "do it before I shoot you and the boy!" He yelled "alright" she said and put her hands behind her back, and with one swift movement she grabbed her two knives and threw them at both of the guys behind her
She than turned around grabbed her gun and pointed it to the spot the guy was at, but he was no longer there, the coward had ran off with Matt, she looked around and saw him running towards the woods "Great" Vanessa murmured and ran after him
By the time she reached the trees she had a gun in her hand and was ready to shoot, she decided that climbing the trees would be easier, so she jumped from branch to branch, always keeping an eye on the guy, he would have to stop to rest at some point.
And Vanessa was right, the guy stopped just a mile inside the woods, 'How stupid is he?' She thought and jumped on a branch that was just above him, the guy seemed to be on his phone, perfect distraction.
She positioned herself over him and jumped and right on top of him ripping part of her shirt in the prossess, she hit his head with the end of her gun and grabbed Matts hand, she than started running away from the woods and back to the park, she heard a gun shot, she felt no pain, so she checked Matt, Matt looked fine, they stopped running and Vanessa kneeled to Matts size, she handed him her phone and said "Run, out of here Matt, call Damon I'll be right there!" Matt nodded and ran, Vanessa than grabbed her gun and ran towards the man that took Matt, the guy shot and missed her head by a hair, waisting no time Vanessa shot the guy in his most sensitive area, the man grabbed his crouch in pain and fell to his knees "That was for making me ruin my favorite shirt" she than shot his leg "That was for making me run all over the woods and get sweaty" she than shot his arm "That was for making me waste my good knives in your stupid goons" she than shot his other arm "that is for trying to shoot me" she than shot his head and killed him "And that was for taking my little boy" she than put her gun back in the holster and ran towards the exit of the woods, once she reached the end she saw Matt along with Damon and some of his men
As soon as Matt saw Vanessa he ran towards her and hugged her "I'm fine Matt" she said, but than she felt a sharp pain in her stomach, the adrenaline was now wearing off, she looked down and saw a lot of blood
She started to feel lightheaded, Damon noticing this ran towards Vanessa, her legs gave out and she fell into someone's arms, the pain was so strong that Vanessa couldn't keep her eyes open, she than gave in to the darkness and fell into a dark abyss, but not before she heard "Stay strong for me".
