Chapter 2: Mathew

6 years later.....

Vanessa was soundly a sleep when her phone beeped, she got up and looked at the screen, it was Mathew again, sense she left Russia that day she kept an eye on Mathew, he was like a little brother she never had, every once in the wile she would go and visit him in secret, he called her aunt Nessa, she loved that little boy

sense he had turned five she gave him a communication device so he could talk to her whenever he wanted, Vanessa than pressed the answer button "Hello Matt, how are you doing buddy" she heard Mathew giggle "Aunti Ness, I miss you when are you going to visit?" his little voice was now getting sad, Vanessa could already see him pouting, she sighted "I promise Ill visit soon, you know aunti Ness is in trouble and I cant be there all the time" she heard Mathew sniff "B-but I miss you, bubba doesn't like me anymore, he never have time fo me, i don't think he woves me, do you wove me aunti?" he sniffed again "Oh baby boy, don't cry I do love you, and Ill go next week ok?" she sighted "Thank you aunti! I cant wait!" his cheery voice echoed through the phone

"Ill see you next week! Bye Matt love you" she said "By aunti! wove you!" and then he hung up, Vanessa sighted and laughed, he was such a ball of energy, Vanessa got up from bed and walked out from the small cottage she had build in Alabama, she went outside and into the chicken barn, she grabbed a couple of eggs and some vegetables from her garden, she than walked back inside and made herself some breakfast, she looked out the window and started to think about her life, six years ago she was a bad ass assassin, now at 23 she was just a regular girl, that worked in the local grocery store.

Even though she had enough money to buy a mansion and fancy cars, she preferred the calmness of the suburbs, than she could use that money to go and visit Mathew, but off course, she kept her suit and weapons, she even built a secret room on the tiny cottage, she had surveillance all around the tiny town, and whenever there was crime she would suit up and send the person to jail, it wasn't as exiting as being an assassin, but it was close enough and it kept her satisfied.

When she was done eating, she cleaned her plates and changed into some casual clothes, she than grabbed her bandanna and put it on her head, she braided her hair, and left the cottage, sense she didn't have a car she would ride her bike down and back from town to her small cottage.

It was around noon when she reached the town, the sidewalks, almost empty as usual and not many cars passing through, she rode her bike to the local grocery store and parked it on the sidewalk "Hello Judy" Vanessa cheered, Judy was the old lady that ran the store, she was the most kindest woman Vanessa had ever seen, she was like the mother Vanessa never had "Why hello deary" she chirp't "What can I do today?" asked Vanessa "Nothing, I want you to have the whole month for vacation, you work way too much" Vanessa laughed at that, it was true, she was always working to get her mind off of her previous assassin life "I cant, how are you going to run this place alone?" she giggled and pushed Vanessa out of the store "We barely have three customers a day, I'll  be fine, now go have yourself a vacation" Vanessa smiled, she was going to see little Matt sooner than she thought "Thank you soo much Judy" Judy shook her head "No problem deary, now go have some fun!" sh yelled pushing Vanessa out the door "Bye Judy!" Vanessa than got on her bike and made her way back to the cottage.

Once she reached the cottage she rushed inside and started packing her bags, she grabbed her fake ID and fake passports and shoved them in the bag, she than grabbed some weapons and her suit, and put it on her special bag, designed so the x-rays wouldn't detect anything, she changed into some comfy clothes and walked to her neighbors house "Lenard! she yelled, a tall thirty year old walked from the house "Hey there V, what can I do for you?" Vanessa sighted "I was wondering if you could take me to the airport, I need to visit some family" she pleaded "But off course, come on lets get you to the airport.

Vanessa went tough the airport smoothly, not even once she got asked questions, she embarked the first plane to Russia she could catch and when she made it there she went straight to her hotel, the hotel was pretty beat up, but it worked just fine for her, when she got her room, she quickly shut the door and jumped on the bed, she than grabbed the phone and called Mathew "Hey Matt, are you alone?" she asked "I'm always alone" he said in a sad voice "Well, aunt Nessa has a surprise for you!" she screamed excitedly "What?!" he asked with excitement also in his voice "I'm in Russia" Matt started to scream on the other end "Really!" Vanessa could almost imagine that six year old jumping up and down

"Yah, Ill be there at midnight like always, leave your window open ok?" she asked "Ok" he answered "Ill see you later" she said before hanging up the phone, Vanessa than looked out the window, she had never ever explored Russia, it was always, see Matt and go back to Alabama, but now, sense she had a month off, she was going to explore, she put on some shorts and a white shirt, than she put on sunglasses and left the hotel, it was pretty sunny outside, the city was absolutely beautiful

Through out the day she visited a couple of places, but headed back to the Hotel when night started falling, she got to the hotel at ten, so she decided to change into her assassin suit, that was the suit she would always wear when she visited Matt, she left the hotel at eleven and jumped from building to building always standing in the shadows, when she got to the mansion she made her way to the east side and jumped over the fence

and just like the other times ahe jumped from balcony to balcony, and window to window, until she reached Matts room. Just like her instructions his window was open, so Vanessa jumped trough it, as soon as she stepped into the room she felt little hands snake around her leg "Your really hea!" he squealed and I put my finger to my mouth so he would quiet down "Did you miss me that much?" he nodded "Bubba have no time fo me anymore, he always leave me awone" he pouted "Now now Matt, no pouting aunt Nessa is here, and she loves you very much" he looked up and right into Vanessa's eyes "You pomisse?" Vanessa nodded "I promise" she than pulled her hood and mask down "So, what do you want to do?".

Vanessa and Matt played for hours, until Vanessa had to leave "Do you have to go?" he asked "I do baby boy, but ill be back tonight ok?" Matt nodded and laid on his bed, Vanessa tucked him in and left trough the window once again.
