When I'm thinking about you I can't stop to think and rhyme.
Because my words just come out in what seems like a blur of time.
Oh look, somehow I still did it again.
It's like you're my muse but you don't know it yet.

I sit across from you and I watch you with a smile,
But cover it up so no-one notices for a while.

I try to memorise all the curves of your face,
The way you lean back when you laugh with such sophisticated grace.

The way your eyes light up when I do something that annoys you,
Or the way I brush it off because I know you don't feel it too.

But most of all I memorise the soft sounds of your voice,
And how it calms me and makes me smile without even having a choice.

It seems I can't describe you at all,
As well as I thought I could,
Because the whole world just seems so small,
When I look at you for longer than I should.

I get lost in the moment,
A purgatory between love and loss,
There's only you in my eyesight,
And this feeling I try to put across.

See rhyming isn't that easy,
Because when I'm looking straight at you,
My adjectives seem so sleazy,
And my brain stops working too.
