I'm overwhelmed by your beauty,
Each time you smile at me,
But not in the way I used to be.

I'm in awe at your humour,
Each time you make me laugh harder than before,
But not in the way I used to be.

I'm appreciative of your understanding,
Each time you listen to all my endless problems,
But not in the way I used to be.

I'm proud of how far you've grown,
Each time you show how incredible you've changed to be,
Exactly the same as how it used to be.

Now I see you in another light,
And yet you shine brighter than before,
Your aura surrounds all who talk to you,
Your laughter surrounds all who care for you,
Your heartbreak follows me whenever you need it to,
And somehow I still see part of what I used to.

You're still beautiful,
You're still understanding,
You're still funny,
You're still a friend.

And I still love you,
Just not in the way I used to.

(And in a weird way,
     This way of loving you,
           Is better than before,
Because I get to tell you,
                  How amazing you are,
                      More than I could,
                           Before.
And you get the chance to feel,
          What I feel for you,
       Without changing,
    The perfect being,
That you already are.)
