I composed myself then went on my way, in search for Rachel.

I ran my hands over the pictures of Titus as a little boy. I smiled when I saw the picture of both of our families. We took that picture three years ago. All of the adults were standing while Owen and I were sitting on the ground. Owen had his arm draped around my neck. Everyone was smiling except for me. I was scowling at Owen from the corner of my eye. I forgot what he did, but he did something to piss me off.

Rachel chuckled when she entered the living room. "I love that picture. It took us thirty minutes to get you and Owen to stop arguing." She placed a tray of bagels and orange juice on the coffee table then sat on the couch.

She gestured for me to join her, so I took the seat next to her. I grabbed a bagel and cream cheese. I was spreading the cream cheese when she began to speak. "So, I invited you here today to talk about your responsibilities as Luna."

I let out a loud groan. "Boring." Rachel gave me a stern look.

"Sorry." I said with a sheepish grin.

She brushed it off then continued. "I'm sure you know a little from growing up with your mother?" I nodded then bit into my bagel.

"You are the mother of the pack. Everyone will look up to you. Everyone will want to protect you." I slumped down further into the seat.

That was nice and all, but the thought of someone risking their life for me made me...uneasy.

"Titus has run this pack by himself for three years. He's done a decent job, but he has the tendency to act on impulse sometimes. And that's not always a good thing."

She placed her hand on mine. "You're the only one who can get through to him."

"Uh, I think I'll leave the pack decisions up to him. I'm not good under pressure." I shot her a tight smile.

She shook her head. "You will learn one day."

"Maybe." I took another bite of my bagel.

Rachel went on about my responsibilities for a good three hours. By the time we finished, I was exhausted. I hugged her goodbye then headed for the pack house.

The moment I entered the pack house I made my way to Titus's office. I stopped when I was standing directly in front of his door. I turned the knob and walked in. To my surprise, Titus was nowhere in sight. I walked to the couch and plopped down on it. I played with my phone for a while to kill time, but eventually sleep overcame.

When I opened my eyes, Titus was kneeling in front of me, while playing with my hair. "Hey." I sat up and brought his hands to my lap.

"The pack is going for a run after dinner."

I ran my hand through my hair. "That's cool I guess."

He furrowed his eyebrows. "You guess?"

The truth is, I was nervous about shifting again. It was rather painful the first time. They say it gets easier the more you shift, but this would only be my second time.

I shook my head. "Never mind, let's go eat." He stood then reached for my hand.

I stretched out my arms then stood. I placed my hand in his and we walked to the dining hall.

Chatter ceased when we walked in. We took our seats and dug into our meal. Everyone else followed suit. "So, what did you and my mother talk about?" He asked.

I played around with my mashed potatoes. "Just stuff." I replied.

Titus opened his mouth to speak when Rachel interrupted. "Just Stuff?! Very important stuff." Everyone snapped their head in Rachel's direction.

I chuckled. "Okay, very important stuff." Titus gave his mom a stern look. She rolled her eyes then turned to talk to Zander.

"What did you do today?" I asked.

"I worked with the pack warriors." He bit into his steak.

"Ah, that explains why you weren't in your office." He nodded.

After dinner, everyone left to change into comfortable clothing for the pack run. Everyone was to meet in front of the pack house in twenty minutes.

I was rummaging through the closet when Titus walked in. He walked to his side of the closet then pulled a grey shirt off the hanger. "Here." He said as he tossed me the shirt.

"Thanks." I turned so my back was facing him. I slipped out of my t-shirt and pants, leaving me in only my underwear. A low growl erupted from behind me.

I shook my head. "Control your wolf T." I turned to face him. He was leaned against the wall while his eyes roamed over my body. "Out." I demanded.

He growled but eventually left. I unhooked my bra and threw the shirt over my head. The shirt stopped just above my knees. I slipped on my converse then walked out of the closet.

Titus was sitting on the bed when I walked out. He was dressed in a black hoodie and khaki shorts.

He stood. "You ready?"

I nodded my head slowly.

He grabbed my hand and led me out of the house.
