Two Paths (Sequel to Why Me)

End of Obito

Naruto created the Rasengan in each tail of his and Sasuke's form and his fellow comrades jumped inside of it.

"I leave the Rasengan to you! Use them to destroy his shield!"

They all went for a direct hit on Obito but his sword pierced them sending them back. Obito thought he had deflected their attack but it was all part of Naruto's plan. The tailed beasts had been pulled from Obito's body due to Naruto using the chakra that they had given him before. Everyone pulled the Bijuu trying to separate Obito from them.

"Don't underestimate the power of the Jinchuuriki of the Juubi, it's the same as the Hermit of six paths!" Obito shouted.

"OK, LET'S DO THIS ALL TOGETHER! HEAVE, HOOO!"

Everyone grabbed onto Naruto's chakra cloak pulling the Bijuu out. Mariah weakly opened her eyes watching everything.

"They...need me." She whispered weakly.

"Mariah, we're too weak. You can't move, they're doing fine without you." Kurayami said.

"She's right Mariah, rest. You're too weak; we can't even separate or else you'll die." Tadashi agreed.

"I haven't done a single thing throughout this war. It seems I only get in the way. I was no contribute. If I weren't here, everything would be the same."

"You fought against Obito and weakened him."

"But I only got hurt and became a burden."

"You saved Sasuke's life."

"The third Hokage would've saved him if I wasn't there. Everyone has prepared me for this war but I have only failed them. I'm still too weak. I bring shame to the Kira name. My parents, mentors, friends, the Akatsuki. They've all taught me so much and even though I tried so hard to use what they have taught me...I only brought them shame. I hardly hurt him. I'm a failure. I'm not fit to be a ninja."

"Nonsense, you're very powerful. You know more than anyone! You have the power of many clans in you. When you were little, you were more powerful than everyone else."

"She's right Mariah, the only thing that you did wrong was fight by yourself. Power in numbers. That's one thing you didn't use that you're friends have taught you. The most important thing that you've learned."

Mariah tried to move but she was still too weak to move. She was starting to lose consciousness but she knew if she did, then her life will be over. Tadashi was trying to heal all of them from inside Mariah but it wasn't doing much. Mariah looked over towards her left and was silent as she watched everyone pull the Bijuu from Obito.

"We took it out!" Naruto shouted.

"We did it!"

"Yeah!"

As they were pulled out, they landed on the ground as did Obito.

"You kept your promise, Naruto Uzumaki. You really saved us."

"Of course Son!"

Sasuke then ran towards Obito sword in hand.

"Wait Sasuke!"

As Sasuke ran towards Obito Kakashi appeared on top of Obito with a kunai in hand.

"Kakashi," Sasuke said.

"Sasuke, we can talk later, sorry for showing up suddenly, but I use to be his friend and teammate. Let me take my responsibilities."

"Kakashi-sensei! Now he's-"

Kakashi went to stab Obito ending it all but a hand stopped him. He looked up seeing Minato.

"Dad!"

"It's time to finished him!"

"Go!"

"Wait!" Lady Tsunade shouted making everyone quiet down.

"Obito, when we were pulling each other's chakra...I was able to see inside your heart. My son gave you quite a lecture. I guess he got that from his mother." He looked over at Kakashi. "But actually that was supposed to be your role. If there's someone here that can really understand Obito, it's you Kakashi. His friend. Don't you think so, Naruto?"

Naruto then looked over at Sasuke.

"Naruto, you and the rest of the alliance should go support the first. You have to seal Madara."

"Ah! Right! He's still around! Let's go Sasuke!"

Mariah watched as Naruto and Sasuke went to join the others to defeat Madara. She looked up at the sky feeling sleep starting to overwhelm her.

"Rest Mariah, you did your part."

"How can I? With this guilty conscious. I did nothing...people died because I did nothing."

"Rest, it'll be all over soon."

"But what if I die?"

"We won't let you," Kurayami said.

Mariah still tried to fight it but she couldn't anymore.
